I'm jealous. My local Chuck E. Cheese does not have a ball pit.
You should check again. Sometime it it categorized as a cesspool.

You know how message boards go. If you don't like him he is "barely 6-2" and "a midget." If you like him he is "6-4" and "plays bigger than he is."
Pretty sure he's 6'3" and I'm indifferent.

Chad Ford has us taking Da'aron Fox at #4 right now. Barf. Just what we need: another undersized PG who can't shoot and can't pass all that well either.

I would be very happy with Isaac at #4.

P.S. Mee always provided a barfing emoji when I needed it. Still miss her.

Hmm, how big do you have to be to be considered an appropriately sized pg?

I don't think 6'4" (in shoes) is undersized for a PG.

Can we just STOP drafting Kentucky players for a minute? Unless it's like a sure thing like Anthony Davis just pick someone else. Aside from Booker who turned into/is turning into a stud, the results haven't been all that awesome. Ulis has only played half a season so he gets a pass but Knight was a disaster, Goodwin didn't pan out and Bledsoe has been a mixed bag. Hopefully we can get out of this rut/trend of drafting one and done Kentucky guys.

Unless they were the #1 pick the Kentucky players in the NBA haven't made that much of an impact. Haven't even counted the ones who were drafted and then quickly fell out of the league.

Let's not paint ourselves into a dogmatic corner. Each UK player should be considered individually. We didn't take Bledsoe or Knight. Bledsoe has outplayed his pick place, Knight was very good prior to last season. Ulis was picked in the 2nd round and has so far outpreformed his pick place, as has Booker. Goodwin was an end of the 1st round guy. Wall is arguably the best pg in the East.

Honestly couldn't care less where a kid attends college. If they show tangible NBA skills and production, sign me up. If Kentucky just so happens to be an NBA farm, so be it, gimme all the UK players.

I also feel kind of weird taking another Kentucky player but that's the way it is. They're getting some of the best talent in the country and we've been bad enough to be in a position to draft them.

I actually don't know anything about him and after watching those posted videos, he does play bigger than those heights. If I didn't look closely and just watched the ease at which he dunks the ball I'd guess he's more like 6'7".

I disagree on Knight. I don't recall him being THAT good, ever. He showed flashes but his biggest asset was that he was young and could score (given a high number of shots.) He had major holes in his game that got bigger instead of smaller. He was a good scorer on bad teams before he got there. Now he's even worse on an even worse team.

A stat that stands to me is Kentucky has had 28 players drafted since 2010 and only 3 have been All-Stars.

You're right, Knight put up numbers on bad teams. We just wish he could put up numbers on this team.

As far as the all-stars, there have only been 15 all-stars total drafted since 2010. Knowing there are 150+ schools in D1, along with countless number of international teams, and only UConn has more than 1 player drafted since 2010 that has been an all-star, 3 is actually a great number. And, they will have more soon with Bledsoe if he was in the East, KAT, Booker, possibly Randle as he plays in LA, and more that are pretty good but probably not all-stars.

Name a college with more all-stars, and we'll draft everybody from that college.

It's not really about what college a player comes from. It's about what the players are capable of doing.

Agreed

I just feel players get over hyped going into the NBA because they went to Kentucky and that AUTOMATICALLY means they are better. It's dumb. Kentucky players seem less rounded than alot of other players drafted. It's like they don't work on any of their weaknesses that year in college. They seem to only improve their strengths. It's odd. Maybe that could be said about alot of one and done's but Kentucky is always in the spotlight so who knows.

12 UK players have been drafted in the lottery since 2010 and 3 have been named All-Stars. That means 1 out of 4 have been All-Stars.

86 players have been drafted in the lottery that came from other teams in that same time. Only 7 of those have been in the All-Star game. that's a little less than 1 out of 12.

And, there is still a chance for many others soon.

Now, why should we take a dogmatic approach to not draft players from Kentucky?

Here are some weird anomalies:
3 #1 picks since 2010 have been All-Stars
3 #9 picks since 2010 have been All-Stars
2 #15 picks since 2010 have been All-Stars
0 #2,#3, #4 picks since 2010 have been All-Stars

Maybe we should try to get the #9 and #15 picks and draft whatever UK player lands there. We would almost be guaranteed 1 All-Star.
