Which means they would no longer be allowed to sign-and-trade him, right?
Update: According to this site, the Nets could still sign-and-trade him if they want to use their remaining cap space http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q39

They’ve got the whole moratorium period to figure it out. If they work a sign and trade out before July 6, they can sign and trade Russell first and then sign Kyrie

So the Nets are willing to work with us. If James Jones still doesn’t try to trade Tyler for Russell in a sign-and-trade, it is criminal. We would only be adding $8 million in salary for this year, the same amount Cory Joseph would take!!!

We would rather have Tyler and Cory for $27 million than have DLo???

I don’t think the nets will take back salary until they know what KD is doing

Maybe Gambo is right. Suns aren’t interested.

Seems dumb, he’s not a great fit, but how often do 23 year old all star pg’s become available that are great friends with your best player when pg is your biggest need?

We aren't going to do anything noteworthy. Let's go 2020 draft picks!

If the Suns were pursuing him, there would be a report of them meeting with him at the beginning of free agency. Gambo was right all along. Sadly. Sickeningly. This is worse than the Knicks...at least they try to get free agents.
There's a part of me that thinks a lot of this is smokescreening so it doesn't look like tampering on our part.

I am prepared to be disappointed tho.

Keep holding out hope lol

Who’s gonna start the “countdown to Devin Booker’s trade request” thread?

Lol I literally already have something like that ready to post, was just holding off a little bit to see if Woj’s DLo news will include the Suns but apparently not.

Or who’s gonna start the rage after Suns fail to make solid improvements in WR even with Russell?

Yeah, I don't see Russell moving the needle much.

I think you’re most certainly wrong. It doesn’t look like we’ll even get a chance to see who is right though.
