Team that acquires him also gets his bird rights.

So, if the Suns send KD to the Spurs, do we do that without getting their second pick? To me that would have to be part of the deal...thoughts?

#2 pick has more value than KD. If we pulled Castle I’d be thrilled, but more likely it’s some combo of vassell/sochan/picks/contracts.

- Any Houston package HAS TO include Tari and/or Reed.
- I wouldn't be opposed to keeping Vassell and starting him in the backcourt with Booker. Unlike Beal, he can defend and I'd much prefer that than running out another Tyus-type.

If it's the Spurs it's gotta include #2 or Castle.

I highly doubt the Spurs would part with #2 or Castle for a KD trade, nor do I think they should.

Unfortunately for us, the Ishbia Suns front office doesn't appear to be even a little bit savvy at the negotiating table.

However it shakes out, they probably need to acquire a Center from the deal. Neither Richards and Oso are full time starter quality.
Agreed. I wonder what sort of C a guy like Vassell could bring back? He's around 25m per, gotta be something decent around that price
Jusuf Nurkic makes $19M. :P
I am sure TOO was a huge fan of Nurk and Richards.

Its almost funny how we were used to mediocre to bad centers, finally draft one good and half the fanbase wanted him gone just to endure more bad Cs.

IIRC, most of us here were satisfied with (at worst tolerant of) Ayton on the Suns until he wanted to be paid like a top 6 player at his position like he is at the moment.

How can anyone honestly boast about his and/or his team's production since leaving Phoenix? If someone doesn't get it at this point, they never will.

Don't turn this thread into another DA thread!! :-)

Now a leak saying that the Spurs may be moving on from KD. This seems almost certainly leaked by the Spurs to try to scare us into accepting whatever offer is on the table.

Houston has always been the most interesting trade partner. Jabari should be the biggest fish, but I agree the Suns cannot settle without at least Eason or Sheppard. Even more so if the Rockets insist on including Green.

I've always liked Vassell and can envision a rotation with him and Booker carrying the backcourt scoring. Just cant follow $135M~ in 25-26 dedicated to the SG position being a good roster building strategy.

Booker, Vassell, and Jase Richardson? I wouldn't hate it.

How would you guys rank the following young players:

Jabari Smith
Tari Eason
Cam Whitmore
Reed Sheppard
Jeremy Sochan
Rob Dillingham
Terrence Shannon

I left Castle out because I don’t think he’s available, but if you think he’s not the best prospect, feel free to share that as well.

Size wins!

I think I’m with you on the top 3. I think that’s where I’d draw the tier line. Sochan maybe in a tier of his own between the other 2.

I honestly don’t know what to think of the bottom tier. All rarely played.

Sheppard was great in the G League, but how much of that can he transfer over to the NBA?

Take these for what they're worth. Rockets, Wolves and Heat mostly in the mix. Not sure the Heat have anything that I'd want. Even Jovic and Ware are still mostly projects who don't promise anything.

If we end up with Julius Randle I'm gonna blow up Ishbia's house.

Ware would be fun…I don’t know much about Jovic. Jacquez would be cool. Wiggins, Ware, Jacquez or Jovic, and a pick would be ok.
