Yeah, same here. 6'5 is what I thought.Superbone wrote:I actually don't know anything about him and after watching those posted videos, he does play bigger than those heights. If I didn't look closely and just watched the ease at which he dunks the ball I'd guess he's more like 6'7".JCSunsfan wrote:You know how message boards go. If you don't like him he is "barely 6-2" and "a midget." If you like him he is "6-4" and "plays bigger than he is."In2ition wrote:Is it definitive that he is 6'2"? I've seen him measured amd reported to be 6'4".
Would that even make a difference if thought of as too small?

This is some fantastic logic.In2ition wrote:Here are some weird anomalies:
3 #1 picks since 2010 have been All-Stars
3 #9 picks since 2010 have been All-Stars
2 #15 picks since 2010 have been All-Stars
0 #2,#3, #4 picks since 2010 have been All-Stars
Maybe we should try to get the #9 and #15 picks and draft whatever UK player lands there. We would almost be guaranteed 1 All-Star.

Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
For those watching the mock drafts, this week Draft Express has us taking Fox. They have had us taking Tatum for a while.
Also of note, Zach Collins and Ivan Rabb have dropped a lot. They have Rabb lasting until the 2nd round, and that's crazy to me. He would have been a lotto pick last year.
Ntilikina and Isaac moved up a bit.
I would love some reports on the workouts. We must have seen more top guys than just Monk, right? Who are the Suns working out and what do they think?

Supposedly, I heard that they are possibly having Fox in today or tomorrow...not sure though.

Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
I'm with you. Just take the best players period. I don't care if he comes from NAU. (That would be cool, actually. The first all-star to come out of NAU.In2ition wrote:12 UK players have been drafted in the lottery since 2010 and 3 have been named All-Stars. That means 1 out of 4 have been All-Stars.
86 players have been drafted in the lottery that came from other teams in that same time. Only 7 of those have been in the All-Star game. that's a little less than 1 out of 12.
And, there is still a chance for many others soon.
Now, why should we take a dogmatic approach to not draft players from Kentucky?

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
A bit of an interesting blurb I saw was Fultz working out for the Kings. Could the Cs being looking to trade their #1 to the Kings for 5 and 10? I think it'd make a lot of sense to be honest. Grab a guy like Isaac or Tatum at 5 and then take a big like Markkanen, Collins, Allen, Leaf at 10?
Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
I think Ainge is not afraid to move assets like that. And it has worked out OK in the past for him. And doesn't he still have more picks from Brooklyn coming his way?ShelC wrote:A bit of an interesting blurb I saw was Fultz working out for the Kings. Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
Not sure about the picks from BK but probably. Ainge loves assets and even if he trades back to 5 and 10, he could offer those up plus players for Paul George. 5 and 10 plus Crowder? Take back the Pacers pick at 18?
Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
I wouldn't trade #1 if I was Ainge. Fultz has franchise-player potential and will be locked in for 9 years.
Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
The big red flag with Fultz is he is not a winner or ultra competitive. Even people who watched him play open gyms say his teams rarely win.Shabazz wrote:I wouldn't trade #1 if I was Ainge. Fultz has franchise-player potential and will be locked in for 9 years.

What a deal! It will be interesting (sad) to see who we could have gotten with the Lakers (unprotected) pick next year. Also, I don't have high hopes for the unprotected Miami pick. Spoelstra is just too good.

If true Jordan Schultz broke his first news story tho he probably got it from Tatum's instagram or something.
