Why isn’t PJ Washington higher? Feels like a pretty solid fit. He can defend, rebound and shot 42% from 3 this year. He may not be a better player than Barrett/Culver, but he seems to make more sense for us.

I'm pretty sure that Clarke is better at everything but shooting 3's.

That’s fine, I also have Clarke ahead of Washington...just more asking why culver or Barrett over Washington?

Superior players would be my guess.

Better scorers, distributors, defenders, and all around players imo.

Anyone see my dude Carsen Edwards performance on Saturday vs. Virginia? 42 points and 10 threes. Box score doesn't really do him justice. The degree of difficulty on many of those was insane. NBA always sleeps on Purdue players because they don't play flashy but I think he can be in the League as like a Lou Williams type player. He is an incredibly smart dude and has a strong work ethic to get better.
A few more amazing stats on the tournament he had:
-Not since Stephen Curry in 2008 had a player scored 25 points in five consecutive tournament games.
-And not ever had a player had two games in the same tournament with at least eight 3-pointers. Nor had a player ever buried 28 shots from behind the arc in four tournament games
-Not since Bo Kimble in 1990 had a player scored 42 points in the Elite Eight, or had two different games with at least 40 points in the same NCAA Tournament, or averaged as much as Edwards’ 34.8 ppg in the same tournament.
I'll remember that Virginia game for the rest of my life. I've never seen a college player hit the kind of shots he was hitting. It was insane.

I saw that. I thought if he can last until the Suns 2nd round pick...the old McD regime wouldn't pick him. Probably would have picked some no good nobody from a crap school, thinking they are going to outsmart everyone.

I don’t think they’re better defenders. And I just don’t see special players in Barrett/Culver. How do they fit with our other wings? If we move warren/Jackson for real pf or pg’s then I can see it working out. Otherwise, I think they just crowd our wing position more without really solving any of our problems.

P.J. Washington is a potential, solid role player. Culver is a potential All-Star.

I like Culver, I just don’t love him. Although in this draft, that puts him pretty high. He’s got a lot of things to like, he’s big, he can handle, pass, and shoot a bit...although his shot has abandoned him a bit the 2nd half of the season. He plays under control, doesn’t force things, which is why I like him better than Barrett. He’d be taking the josh Jackson role.
I guess he could be an all star, but I could say that about Reddish too. Still, mostly I wanted to talk about Washington. I haven’t heard really any talk about him even though he seems to be a solid fit on paper. He plays the 4, he can defend, he rebounds, and he can stretch the floor.

Washington looks the part, but he completely disappeared a lot this year. He struggles to do anything consistently. The potential is there though to be a prototypical, 2-way stretch 4.

I haven't scouted Washington at all. I'll check him out.
What separates Culver from the field for me is his balance and the way he can square up for a good shot at odd angles. He plays with great pace and that combo of mental and physical balance will translate well to the NBA.

I do like Culver...if I was ranking prospects without our roster in mind, I’d have him over Washington...even with our roster in mind I have them pretty close. I just think we’re loaded at the wing and I don’t see culver being obviously better than our current 4. Feels like getting someone who can play the 4 or 1 would be more important. Of course, if we move warren and/or Jackson for a pg/pf then that opens up more options.

Would you trade Zion, Ayton, Warren, Johnson and Mil pick for the Pels #8(Brandon Clarke), AD and Jrue?

Yeah, that's way too much to give up, even if NO wasn't backed into a corner. If AD committed long term though, I'd include Zion in a potential trade.

The assumption is that AD would commit long term.

Ok, so assuming that AD would sign long term with the Suns, what would your proposal be?
