Suns News: Offseason
Re: Suns News: Offseason
If he wants to win and play in a big market and we didn't have a choice, Dinwiddie and Levert plus picks (and any other young players/assets) works. Kyrie, Book and KD in BK would put them at the top of the East.
Re: Suns News: Offseason
Can we just get Simmons and other stuffs from Philly? I'm still very big on Ben Simmons
Re: Suns News: Offseason
Yea I really like Simmons too. I don't love him and Rubio together but that wouldn't be a dealbreaker either. It's a combo of where Book wants to go (not that that should matter to us) and what Jones/Monty want back. They may want 2 perimeter skills players with flexible deals than Simmons on his max deal. Or maybe Sarver makes that call. Simmons and Ayton with Mikal and Cam as shooters would be fun. We'd just have to do something with Rubio or wait out his deal.
Re: Suns News: Offseason
I'm not worried about it.

Devin's bff said it was bunk, but then later deleted his tweet. Devin's brother liked Gambo's tweet that was debunking the Hoop Central tweet though.

Re: Suns News: Offseason
I get the feeling KD is recruiting and trying to sell him a "Big 3" in BK. Nothing to it but a gut feeling.
Re: Suns News: Offseason
As Booker has 4 yrs left on the contract, I wouldn't entertain calls for a trade.

Trade him to GSW for Chriss and a trade exception.

I'm pretty sure that he read our top four of all-time Suns thread and got pissed off.

Russillo isn’t a breaking news guy...he’s just taking the rumors that are always going around that Booker wants out and assuming they are true. He knows nothing. Gambo has had some struggles lately with suns related scoops, but I trust him here. Especially since his brother liked Gambo’s tweet.

I refuse to believe it until Booker is closer to the end of his contract or the words come from him/his agent.

Re: Suns News: Offseason
Russillo is not connected and doesn't know anything. I would take any rumor he starts as being completely worthless. Also, Book is locked up under contract here for a very long time, so there is no need to trade him anytime soon.

Re: Suns News: Offseason
I don't care who is 'reporting' these supposed news about Booker, but I do believe that even if nothing was being put out there, one more losing season means Booker demands a trade.
This would be his sixth straight losing season and the fact that he has signed a long contract means nothing more than what we could get a better package back for him. Same for Booker's involvement with the city or the community; it just means he has a good nature and gives back. Stars force their way out all the time, regardless of contracts.
Bottom line: the bubble felt great but we still need to improve enough to finish among the top8 in the west, and that's far from a given.

Re: Suns News: Offseason
Yea if we're looking at things realistically, it's not uncommon now for younger players drafted with one team to spend their first 5-7 years there and then move on. And it's even regardless of whether they're winning or not. Guys are going to want to play where they want and/or with whomever they want - if they can.
The losing here certainly hasn't helped things and I'm optimistic after the bubble performance. Some sustained success would be nice and I think we're in a very good spot in terms of roster and salary cap. But even if we were a 45-50 win team, making the playoffs and losing in the 1st or 2nd round the past few years, some guys would still look around and say "I want to play somewhere else with this other guy". Anthony Davis did it, KD did it, Kawhi did it twice, LeBron's been doing it. It's the nature of the beast in the NBA. OTOH some guys stick around like Dame, Dirk, Curry and Klay thru winning, losing and mediocrity. Hopefully Book falls into the latter group.

Re: Suns News: Offseason
On the off chance that any of this Booker stuff is true, it makes one thing crystal clear. They'd need to trade Ayton.
Not saying it would or wouldn't be the right decision. LeBron is a pretty terrible GM. Do the Suns give Booker that much power to keep him?
