I know, I’m saying I would have preferred we pursued either of them

Interesting choice for a 3rd center. I view him as the equivalent of Diallo but the difference is we know what we have in Diallo so we went with Jones. I think he’s still got some potential but as stated before; hopefully we won’t have to rely on his to play big minutes.

FWIW, Hollinger is based in Atlanta where Jones played last year.

How many roster spots left? I’m counting Saric’s QO as being on the team but not Baynes.

If you count Okobo as well, 2 more roster spots, 1 2-way

If the Lakers get Gasol too...they’ll be real tough. Hope he stays in Toronto.

Jones has 193 FG in his career, 128 of them are dunks, which would explain his 67% career FG%

"Hey Ayton - watch what this guy does when he gets the ball near the basket."

The Damian Jones signing is very uninspired.

I guess I agree, but I wasn’t expecting anything from them. We have the big men we are expecting to play.

Jones is a big body for practice. Monty never trusted Diallo, even when we had no other bigs to play. If all Jones does is roll and dunk, it's fine if he ever gets PT.

Jones is 6 fouls when we need to throw a body out there. I don't expect him to average more than 5 min per game.

Did I miss Dario re-signing?

No, but he’s not going anywhere. If we’re trying to replace Saric with vet min deals, we’ve already failed.

No biggie, just upgrading Diallo’s slot.

I was fine keeping Diallo, Jones is whatever. Probably not an nba player, but I’m not gonna care that much about what could likely be our 15th man.

Any interest in bringing back Jared Dudley on a minimum deal?

Not really. Think it’s time for him to make the transition to his next step.
