Is the Lakers pick tradeable? Can you trade the same pick multiple times?
We haven't traded that pick. It's still ours, top5 protected, so we can move it whenever we want.

I just wasn't sure if teams are allowed to trade a pick once it's been acquired by another team.

I don't understand. The Lakers can't trade their pick again because it belongs to Phoenix now, but the Suns can do as they please with it. Phoenix has not done anything the pick after acquiring it in the Nash sign and trade.

Team 1 (Lakers) trade pick to Team 2 (PHX). Can Team 2 trade that pick to a Team 3..? That was my question, but you've answered it already.
There are a lot of weird rules in the CBA about trading, some of which I don't fully understand. I wasn't sure if there existed a rule about trading a pick multiple times.

I get the idea there, but, doesn't it take a long time for this legal process to go through? They may be totally unable to get him out by training camp simply due to the realities of the legal process and the fact that Donald Sterling can appeal rulings and drag out proceedings and so on. Do they really want to say that they won't play? It's not like the league is not doing all it can do to get him out. It just seems silly to me. You can't demand a court case be totally done by a certain very fast-approaching date.
I was going to post and comment on that too. I think it's preposterous. What's the point of not coaching or playing? I could understand if the NBA/Silver hadn't done anything. But they did. It's a legal matter now, and as you mention, it takes time. The legal system doesn't run on the NBA's timetable, and it's bigger than the NBA or any sport. This is about contract law, ownership of property, etc.
Do they think they will be punishing Sterling if they don't play/coach? I doubt he gives a crap. All he cares about is sticking to anyone who tries to tell him what to do or take what belongs to him. If
$2 BILLION doesn't compel him to relinquish ownership of the team, do you think a player or coach is going to make a difference?
All Doc and/or Chris will be doing is hurting their teammates, the fans, and the league.
and that's what sterling wants, for them to make a FOOL of themselves.

random thoughts:
1) our own david griffin is the luckiest GM in the nba today.
2) lebron left miami so his friend wade wouldnt be pressured to take a huge pay cut. lebron would have stayed btw if the heat won the title.

Falk still represents several players including Greg Monroe, Roy Hibbert, Elton Brand, Otto Porter, Evan Turner, Austin Rivers and Jeff Green.
Not quite the same as representing Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Moses Malone, Dikembe Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning, Allen Iverson, James Worthy and Dominique Wilkins however.

Didn't Magic Johnson sign a 25-year, $25m deal with the Lakers in the '80s? LOL. Probably sounded like sweet money at the time. That deal would just be ending next year!

That contract was a personal services contract with the franchise to act in a variety of capacities. I'm fairly certain it was above/beyond his player contract.

Mark Jackson To Reportedly Hire Rich Paul As Agent
Good luck with that. I guess Jackson will be looking for the max coaching salary. I hope he's not screwed by the CBA.
