I like that we got some youngish veterans with room to grow. We still need a bit more size I think, and a pg that can put some pressure on the rim. DSJ and … Moses Brown? Think Vogel can teach him how to play defense?

Haliburton also got a 260 mil max. I’m confused… Is that just a normal rookie max or a super max? Is this because the cap has gone up? That’s basically the same deal Booker and KAT got, on their second extensions, right?

It’s the supermax…Haliburton has to make All-nba to actually get it though. If he doesn’t he gets the same deal as Bane

I don’t know if he’s known as a shooter per se but in the few Kings games I watched he didn’t hesitate to launch from the outside. I would say he’s at least a Eubanks type shooter, someone nobody fears but have to respect a little bit. Not Okogie whom you leave wide open because your best defense is to let him shoot from 3.
I just looked at the numbers and it seems I was way off on Metu’s outside shooting. I must’ve caught the only two or three Kings games where he actually shot decently and confidently. Oh well. Now I wish we kept that roster spot open. But I do still like Metu’s scrappiness.

Great start to FA. I'm not sure I would have opted for Eubanks over Jock but love the Yuta n KBD pickups. I also really liked resigning Okogie. Him n Jock are the two from last yr I wanted bk the most. We need 1 more floor spacer. As others have said would of loved Watford.
We’re going to LOVE Eubanks and Yuta.

Also, those Shams and Haynes tweets explicitly mentioning Rich Paul are shameless and idiotic.

Early thoughts on the rotation:

There’s 4 clear guys in the rotation with Book, KD, Beal, and Ayton. I’d guess we see Eubanks as the backup 5. I also imagine KBD and Yuta take most of the wing minutes available(3 and 4), but I also imagine we see some 3 guard lineups with Book at the 3. Payne/Goodwin/Okogie take the bench guard minutes.

The 5th starter spot is still up for grabs, but I’d lean towards it being KBD.

Book/Beal/Bates-Diop/Durant/Ayton
Payne/Goodwin/Okogie/Yuta/Eubanks

It’s kinda good, no? Pretty solid playoff rotation(top 8) and good regular season depth(top 10). The deep bench is a little weak but perhaps we aren’t done.

1. Book
2. KD
3. Beal
4. Ayton
5. KBD
6. Yuta
7. Payne
8. Eubanks
9. Goodwin
10. Okogie
11. Metu
12. Lee
13. Ish
14. Todd
15.

2-way - Camara
2-way -
2-way -

I feel like maybe one more guy in that 5-7 range would’ve been nice, but really hard to complain too much. Also there’s still time and there are some guys out there that would fit the bill.
I don’t think there’s any way Payne starts. Or at least there’s no way he should.

The things he does well, 3 of our starters do better and he addresses none of the weaknesses of that group. The bench, OTOH, could really use his (theoretical) strengths.

I’d start KBD, with Okogie 2nd choice and Yuta 3rd.

On paper I think KBD starts, gives us better size and switchability next to Durant. Hope he defends well enough to take on the tougher defensive assignments. Payne, Yuta and Eubanks are the main bench guys. Okogie should be in the mix there as well and there's gonna be mixing and matching with the Big 3. Starting Payne leaves the bench bare on ballhandlers unless other moves are made.

I'm absolutely thrilled with Suns signings.
I think we have a deeper and better bench than last year.

And I would love to see Yutabas the 5th starter. He would get all the open looks...

Heat lost Vincent, Strus, and Oladipo.
Oladipo not as much, but the other two losses hurt. Both had good playoff runs.
Wonder what sort of move Miami plans for a major signing?

Perhaps the PG we’re waiting for is Kyle Lowry.

Suns don't have a true playmaking point guard. Is that a concern for anyone ? Or is it not a big deal ?

How many true playmaker PGs even exist anymore? I think we're more than fine, will not be surprised if Book avg 8apg this year.
