Who would you rather have in Book's ear? KD or Jimmy Buckets? Remember "unbothered"? How about the new "hot and bothered"?!

Despite all the rumours I still think the most likely scenario is the suns fuck this up.

If we get Draymond let's hope he's flipped to Miami as part of the deal to bring Butler here as I simply refuse to root for that guy.

Does Butler even want to be here if KD isn't? If he does, is that solely to get paid and if so isn't that a sign that money motivates him more than championships? We'd need to get an awful lot back from the KD trade to make this team a viable contender.

Here’s how I heard someone put it…(I think Cap might like this analogy):

That’s what KD for Jimmy is. Probably better to abandon ship, but I can see the vision. You get a couple extra 1sts(let’s say 26/28 Warriors plus some swaps in 25/29)for moving KD…maybe you make a Grayson trade to bring in someone like Goga…then Nurk and a 1st(the crappy 27 first) for a PF…let’s just say you get Portis somehow.

Tyus/Booker/Butler/Portis/Bitadze
Morris/Beal/Royce/Dunn/Richards

Team is more balanced and quite a bit bigger. You also still come out with 1sts in 25/26/26/28/28/29/30 and can swap 25/29.

Much better position and maybe there’s still an avenue out of the 2nd apron if Butler takes less. Beal gets easier to move each year and you still have the option to completely blow it up with Book.

I’m also a little curious that if we’re willing to move KD for Butler, why don’t we just give KD to Miami? Would they give us Butler, Ware, and a 1st? I’d like Ware

Ya they might not. It’s not a great team and they wouldn’t have long to build chemistry. Decent chance we’re coming out of the 9/10 spots and need to win 2. But at least we’d have options going forward.

I’d feel slightly better about that if they could figure out how to turn Jones into Lonzo Ball but the contracts aren’t there.

I think my main problem is why would Jimmy force/want to here with no KD?? I would think the appeal was for him to spend the last years of his career with Book AND KD. Take less money with KD so it’s easier to build around them going forward. This what they all have literally been planning for and now that was all for nothing? What’s the point of coming to Phoenix now? If it was just for money, the warriors were more than happy to extend until he nuked that. He caused all this drama to only play with book? I don’t buy it.

It just doesn’t make any sense. If all this is just dead end now, just go to Memphis, that’s the way better situation. Go to the bucks. Until the shams tweet comes in, I’m still on the Himmy with KD and Book train.
