The contract he's coming off of (non-guaranteed) was in the range of $7 and $8 million for the next couple of years, and he's coming off statistically his best season. Even if the Sixers don't want to pick that up, he'll probably have a chance to play somewhere for more than the minimum.

Oh no, I never meant to imply the minimum. More like, I'd be impressed if they found some scraps (Nas Little) and stuff to acquire him. I know it's not going to happen.

My post was mostly a way of saying a smart team with space will go after him.

Jazz signed him to that deal…maybe they go after him again.

Crazy how this whole deal is put together. I think it involves 5 teams and that Hield contract is weird.

That sounds like the Chris Paul deal with lower dollar amounts.

So do we think the Ws may see a bit of a bounce taking away Klay and adding in Melton, SloMo and Buddy? Or is this like letting Amar'e walk and bringing in Warrick, Hedo and Childress?

It really depends on how adept those guys are at playing Kerr(y)-ball. Their system is notoriously difficult to pick up and be successful in for some players.

I think they got better. Klay wasn’t good..I wish they would’ve paid to keep him

CP3 to Melton - Upgrade
Saric to Anderson - Upgrade
Klay to Hield - Downgrade

Overall, I think it's pretty close to a wash between those two collective groups.

I think the Warriors most significant improvement will come from playing their young guys more and they still need to move Wiggins.

I've been a fan since he was at DePaul. I'd love to find a way to pick him up.

I'm projecting the 2024-25 season. I probably would've said the same last summer and been wrong because Melton hardly played after the new year.

Just wait till they get Lauri…

I'm surprised that the Warriors got Hield to agree to that contract. That seems like a real steal for him if he performs well. Nice upgrade for a team that really needs a talent infusion. I still don't think they are contenders, but they may actually make the playoffs at this rate.

Hield's play is so choppy he might've been lucky to get that. He could bomb away in GS and reestablish himself or just fade like he did in Philly.
