I'm not a Brandon Knight apologist, nor am I an advocate of keeping him as part of the core/future, but many of these same things were said about Chauncey Billups, Iverson, Jason Terry, Jamal Crawford early in their careers. It's about siutation, coaching, roster, etc. I think he can be a starter, just not your best player or primary offensive option. And 28-23 as a lead guard is pretty successful considering the young roster and 2nd yr coach in Kidd. I think the Bucks could've made a lot of noise in the east had they kept that roster together and built it up. The Sixers would be a good situation for him where he can kick out to shooters like Covington or Stauskas or feed the bigs.

We're not even running offense and if we are, he's probably like "F it. I'm playing off the bench? I'm gonna get mine".

I think he can be successful when he has plenty of minutes and is the primary ball handler. Just maybe his team can't be.
Wasn't he playing for Kidd, who was able to put him in either a position to be successful individually and/or teamwise, or just got lucky enough in the time period to inflate his value to be dumped on the first sucker that showed any interest?

That's on him.
