One day Watson will be gone and I will rejoice. He's a profoundly mediocre coach.

I know it sounds like I'm being negative, but like I said, something rubs me the wrong way. I don't think speaking about other teams' situations, at least publicly, is appropriate. That also falls on the suns for including that clip in the video. And instilling confidence is one thing, but I've never heard a coach say, "You're gonna be a superstar, so don't worry about that part of it..." It's just off.

“It’s hard to have an elite offense, which we’re obviously trying to do here over a number of years if one guy dominates the ball that much,” McDonough said. “I guess the exception is probably Houston because they have James Harden, who’s so good at it, so special at it, the way they space the floor. The way they execute pick-and-rolls, shooters spotted up around the arc, that’s unique. I think if you look at San Antonio if you look at Golden State, the ball pings around pretty good so we study those teams and try to steal some things from them.

“He looks like the most improved player on the team right now,” Eric Bledsoe said. “His jumper looks pretty good. This past week he’s been working. He’s impressed me a lot.”
“Athletically, he’s always been gifted,” Head Coach Earl Watson said. “He’s still athletically gifted above the rim. I feel like he got stronger. The three-point shooting has been phenomenal.”
“I know I’m an elite defender,” Jones said. “One day, I hope to be Defensive Player of the Year. One day that’s going to happen, but until then I’ll be the best defender I can be.”

Great to hear Jones Jr. is progressing so well! Wasn't sure if we'd be able to fit him into the rotation but now it's sounding like they're going to have to find a way.

Yes, I like that he's really embracing a 3 & D roll, working on his body getting stronger and working on his 3 pt shooting, while at the same time understanding that defense is going to be his calling card.

Sounds like Jones is building on his summer league success.

I'd be ecstatic if Jones turns into a lockdown defender. I like his attitude about it. Wonder if playing a year with PJ instilled that in him or if he got it elsewhere.

Intersquad scrimmage starts at 6:30 and I believe it will be showing on Suns.com.

That's a bummer. They've shown it in years past. Where did you see that it won't be streamed?

They aren't streaming it? What is with this team just moving backwards when it comes to fan service.

https://twitter.com/Suns/status/913957144516485121 Bledsoe has 3 more seasons of experience than anyone else playing in the scrimmage tonight. He's only 27...
