Yes, there's no future to playing those guys.

You have to win or lose playing the young guys.

wonder what McD thinks of this closing lineup. And Bender had been somewhat useful closing games recently

Just....... no.
Sure Duke is big and strong, but they are children. The NBA is grown men who've been working out 24-7 for years. Basketball is their job, that's way different than a college kid who has to study. There is a reason NCAA stars end up role players and most don't make it, there is a huge skill/strength gap between college and pros. There is 0% chance Duke can beat the worst NBA team. The worst NBA team is filled with top NCAA players from all over the place. Just cannot see it.
Hmm, I agree they couldn't, but they may start 5 1st rounders and possibly 3 drafted in the top 10 of a good draft. All I am saying is that there will be people asking whether it could happen, and with how young teams are nowadays, they will think it's a legit arguement.
But how many 1st round picks from last year's draft are actually ready to contribute for big minutes? Maybe Tatum? Kuzma? Markkanen? Anybody else?
Give them a little time, by the end of the year there will be 5-10 others.

I like Jared Dudley. I really do. But he shouldn't get 20 minutes, even if a meteor hits the Suns plane and incapacitates all but 6 guys on the roster.

Nobody with more than 3 assists. This team doesn't move the ball.

Lot of bad shooting nights tonight. Mike James 5-13. Booker 6-15. Len 1-6. Daniels 1-5.

One bright spot was that a lot of guys hit the boards. Len with 14 big man rebounds, Warren with 9, Chandler with 7, Dudley 5, Bender 4, Chriss 4.

How does a shooting guard foul out?

Again, this team is poorly constructed. We are not just a few years of development from competing for a championship. We need a second star who is rather a PG or a C. We need several shooters.

You can’t have both Warren and Jackson on this team. You just can’t. They can never see the floor together because neither can shoot for shit. Same with Bender and Chriss. Several redundant players. You need to pick the few you feel are most valuable as a unit, and trade the rest to find pieces that fit together as a team.

Our offensive structure fucking sucks. Its so predictable. Constant hand off with no threat that the big man will drive our shoot, with everyone else just sitting on the 3pt line. The defenders jump in on the handoff so many times because they know its coming or just go under it because we run it in spots our guys dont shoot from. We have really gained nothing from the last 3 games. Playing vets at the end was just gross. Put the guys in a position to succeed and run more quick hitters for booker and TJ when we hit our usual lull.

its just been the same shit for 3 different games. Unless booker or warren get hot we got nothing. I didnt think i'd ever have to say this to a Suns team but fix the fucking offense.

I don't think anyone around here would say otherwise.

The strategy is more about holding assets over complete team building at this point. I think McD would say the same thing if he was to be candid about it. Eventually, some of those redundant players are used to acquire a player that fits in the roster elsewhere. We just haven't been able to make that deal, for whatever reason. I agree with you that it's not ideal to take four players for two positions in the last four drafts.

He's looked how I expected he would. He always plays hard, but makes mental errors that nearly every rookie makes. His shooting is streaky, which I also expected. I think his ceiling is Andre Igoudala.

Useless is a little strong on a night that he pulled down 14 rebounds and had 2 blocks.
