This is the kind of thing that drives me crazy. Why cut a young, very athletically gifted player who has all the tools to be a defensive star in DJJ if we could just develop him, to make a commitment to an older player that isn't some kind of game-changer, only to cut him two weeks later? It just makes our organization look inept.

We needed a PG. We couldn't finish the season with Ulis as our only one. Canaan is better than James, so we switched. It sucks for DJJ and for Mike James, but Canaan is better at basketball and we need him right now.

I think we all overestimated the potential of DJJ. Every team in the NBA could have signed him after we cut him and yet nobody did. We don't have minutes for him on our roster and it's only going to get more crowded with Reed getting healthy. He would have been a nice story, but there's no real place for him here.

JUST LIKE SOMEONE ELSE WHO COULDN'T FIND ROOM THIS TIME OF YEAR. This is the Christmas season, SplitT. Please make some room in your heart for Derrick Jones Jesus.

Ha, I really like DJJ, I wanted him to pan out. I believed the hype that he was one of our most improved players in the off season, but then he never got on the court. But, I'll keep a little spot open in my heart. Perhaps he'll return again and save this franchise and return us to glory.

Umm. Because we needed guards. And who give a flying fig how it makes our organization look. Everyone media type in the world loves to pile on to organizations that are rebuilding. They do it without informed opinions. Most of the takes are just stupid. So, if an organization worries whether or not it pleases stupid people, it is, in fact, stupid. Ignore the chatter. Move on.

Is DJJ still playing for our G-League team? Maybe we can call him back up later this season.

He is, but we'd have to sign him again to a contract. In order to do that, we'd have to get rid of a player.

Derrick Jones is a bum. Just wanted to reiterate this.

Dude, nobody in the league wanted DJJ.

A 10 day?

I like the dude, too. I honestly think he’s not a worse player than any of the 3 PGs we had last week. We just don’t need depth at his position.

Wish the 2 way contracts existed last year. That's the ideal situation for him, but apparently the contract we signed him to last year disqualifies him from signing a two way contract.

I wanted to mention something about Reed that is touched on in this article: http://arizonasports.com/story/1358883/ ... y-daniels/

It's going to be hard for him to get playing time in the current rotation with Daniels shooting the 3 so well. It's why I feel like we need to go the Harden route for the rest of the year and let Booker run the offense. Since Ws and Ls only matter in regards to our draft position it can only help Booker's game in the long run. Start Daniels and let Reed have the backup SG minutes and Ulis have the backup PG minutes.

I'd rather not continue to overly depend on Booker. He has improved his shooting, defense, rebounding, and assists this year already, and I worry about burning him out by demanding too much of him too soon. Canaan has done a satisfactory job to be the backup point guard--why not let Booker grow into that role at 22, rather than trying to thrust too much on him this season.

I remember seeing some discussion on here about Los Suns jerseys and I thought it was just for the usual Latin night thing , didn't realise it was one of the jersey options for the rest of the season
I been seeing some of the other team's "The City" jerseys and have to wonder what is going on with ours. the comments I've seen on Twitter are not nice smh lol

Doesn't seem to have harmed Giannis' game any, but I understand your reservations.

We are a historically young team making serious ups and downs.

Props to the 2nd unit for overcoming.
