I was checking about that, because I was curious about it too. He was always a 2-3 assist p/g guy. He then got sent to GLeague. It must have been a "Come to Jesus" moment for him, realizing that his only hope of really having a spot in this league was as a pass first pg. So, in 23 games in GLeague he racked up almost 9 assists per game. It is amazing a player can reinvent himself like that.
Imagine if Brandon Knight did that.

James worked for it and has earned a spot on an NBA team.
trade him for a 2nd round pick
Per NBA rules, Mike James cannot be traded this season as a result of being on an upgraded 2-way contract.

Why not cut Ulis, he really is pretty awful if you have been watching.
I have to believe even James + - is beter than his.
I am sure they will cut House. Or trade Monroe.

I am no fan of Mike James. But at least we don't have any players on the roster currently who I truly hate. No Beasleys, no Turkoglus, no Morrises, no Brandon Knights, etc.

House is just on a two way contract, so cutting him doesn't do anything. Greg Monroe would be the guy to trade/buyout to clear a spot. James would be the easiest solution, but hard to see them cutting him after just signing him.

I really wish we had a PG good enough to play 25 minutes a game and not kill us. It is crazy that we have to have 3 PGs on the roster to get us 25 minutes of good play.

Have you watched the last two games? I think Canaan can do that.

He sure has. Distributed the ball well, shot well, and he is a pretty good defender. Just what we need in a pg. Really. If the last two games would characterize Canaan going forward, we should make him our permanent starter going forward. He is a perfect pg to play next to Booker.
BUT. Its just two games. Much remains to be seen.

Yes to #1. But for #2, two samples doesn't make a trend. There is probably a reason he hasn't stuck anywhere in 5 years (like James).

We shall see. I think he has figured it out.

I would hope so since he is on our team, but many of us were saying how great Tyler looked at the end of last year, and many of us were saying how good James looked too. We are fans so we overly praise and critique our team, and expect the best at times.
