If he wants to stick around in this league he is going to need to drastically improve his game from inside 3 point land. Tired of him shooting almost exclusively 3's. That's on the coaching staff. It should not be acceptable for a 7 footer to shoot almost twice as many 3's (101) on the year than 2's (60). They are underutilizing Chriss and Bender and letting people with no future on this team be the focal point of the offense- James, Canaan. If you're going to commit to developing these players, please for the love of God show some sign that you are actually trying to help them grow their games. They're not learning s*** just standing in the corner while the atrocious guards hoist up shots and hog the ball.
Are we able to put this on a billboard outside the suns arena.
Seriously both MD and Triano are signing their own death warrants by letting this continue.Just un some more things for Bender and chriss, it would make the games so much better to watch the kids develop. I am ok with them failing but at least try to help them grow. yes they are both passive at times, but lets try to address that.

According to Scott Bordow, Triano doesn't want to mess with the chemistry of the second unit. Whuh? Wouldn't starting every game down 18-4 after 6 minutes warrant some sort of change? Who cares if the second unit has great chemistry? The team needs great chemistry.
maybe he just sees it as temporary as booker will return soon and just wants to give JJ more minutes before he returns to a more stable bench. But yeah the logic isnt great. Maybe having one line up work is better than none?
The subs this game were not good. JJ went out too soon. chandler getting too many minutes, not enough for Len.

I didn't get to see the game. I'm glad. Looking @ the box score, it seems Austin Rivers beat us. None of our 3 PGs had it tonight.
Jackson and Chriss had good games, and Lens line looks good. Don't know why he didn't get more minutes.
I would really like to see Len in the starting lineup. He has been passing much better lately.

clearly management is still between a rock and a hard place on center position
they'd like to move Chandler or Monroe, so they're sill showcasing one or the other from game to game
Len is the right fit to start here, but they've screwed it up (and he didn't help with past inconsistencies)
i don't know if they're allowed to sign Len to a bigger contract NOW or if the free agent thing must play out?
as is, he's not getting the minutes he deserves and is more likely to leave as it continues
and the more minutes he gets and better he plays the more expensive it will be to keep him
i also agree that Bender, Chriss, Jackson, and Ulis need more minutes than they deserve
because we need to focus on our goals
that's why Booker being out is very useful
this season has to be about throwing the young guys in the water and seeing who can sink or swim

I'm so tired of the Suns being the butt of everyone's joke. Give me Trae Young, a transcendent big man and a big-time free agent next year and let's have a revenge tour for 10+ years.
I like the way you think.

Yeah, starters were terrible last night. If he doesn't want to mess with the second unit, make them the first unit then.

Easy solution, since besides Warren, all the second unit guys are better than the 1st string anyways, imo.

I've got young up to 4th on my board for next year. I think it's becoming more likely that we'd have to take him with our own pick, he won't last to the Miami pick. Not sure any of the transcendent big men will make it to the Miami pick either.
Who can we get in free agency? LeBron, Durant, CP3, PG-13, and cousins aren't coming here. That leaves us with DeAndre Jordan, Will Barton and the restricted class to throw big offers at. I honestly could get behind Jordan on a 2-3 year deal if we land someone like Doncic in the draft. I've always been a big fan of Barton and he'd be a great 6th man. The restricted class isn't great, you could throw a max at Jabari or Aaron Gordon and make Milwaukee and Orlando sweat. Julius Randle is probably the most likely restricted guy to switch teams, but I'm not sure he does much for us.

it's more important who needs to GET better than who IS better right now.
Dudley is better, Monroe is better, even Mike James is better than some players who get more minutes
our #1 need is a strategy for growth and a strong, disciplined coach that can teach and motivate
IS better now is a playoff bound team's focus, not a lottery bound team's focus

I'd take Will Barton for the bench but I am not sure if he would still want a bench role or not. I'd need to be convinced he'd be a good pairing with Booker in a lineup. I agree with the rest of the FA that aren't coming and I want no part of DAJ, Randle. I need to wait and see on Jabari. I'm not sold on Gordon yet but I could be eventually but I doubt it.

Ya, Barton will probably be looking for a starting position. We could possibly role with a Barton-Booker backcourt. I think Barton is quick enough to cover 1's and, especially if we land someone like Doncic, Barton and Booker both have enough play making skills to run the offense.
I forgot about IT, he's a free agent too. Don't think he'd come here and I'm not sure I'd want him, but interesting to think about.

Ah yes, the 2 PG try was a fail, lets try the no PGs route. I'm sure that'll work out dandy

Barton has an assist rate higher than Bledsoe, Kyrie, and Conley. Just below Lillard and Dragic. And if we get lucky in the draft and land Doncic, he would be our PG on offense anyways.
I'd rather have 3 or 4 guys who can create offense at a good level than 1 who can do it at an elite level. I loved Nash, but we had serious problems creating offense when he wasn't on the floor.

I'm not getting my heart set on a top 5 pick. We are playing well enough to land somewhere 6-10.

We have the 4th worst record right now. Dallas has been playing better lately and may pass us soon. Memphis will start winning once Conley gets healthy. Unless they decide to tank by trading off Gasol. Bulls are playing really well right now. Magic are in a free fall, but should hopefully start winning again when they get healthy. Hawks look to be the only team definitely worse than us right now. I see us anywhere from 2-8

i agree. we've been winning some games and close in others and Booker will be back. It seems there are more bad teams then usual this year.

I'm not getting my heart set on it, but I feel for some reason that this is the year that the Suns finally win the lottery, no matter where they fall before. Of course, I'm not going to bet on it, but I just feel like for some reason it works out. Now, will the Suns pick the right player, that's to be seen.

well, that feeling is statistically supported
30 teams, the 33rd lottery, we're due for 1
(it didn't help that we had one of the league's best runs of playoff appearances until recent years)

As usual the 11:30 start got the better of me, rolled over in the 2nd quarter to see us down 33 - 22 and wondered if I was still groggy

. Made it to halftime but having only scored 35pts by then I felt back to sleep was the better option. I am here trying to psych myself up to watch the replay, maybe I'm just still too disappointed my Gameday win streak was so short lived
Box score isn't pretty at all....
