Well when no one else on the team guards their man and just makes Bender switch on to them that is what you get.

Bender got stripped there, but I really love seeing him roll like that. As far as I can remember, this is the first time I have seen us run multiple Booker/Bender pick and rolls in one quarter. Usually, Bender just fades out to the perimeter. This is very much the Draymond Green role (roll).

This is the kind of losses I want to see. Trying new stuff for everyone, hanging with a superior opponent for some stretches, and an overall disposition to be active. Wonder how much Bender’s growth was stolen by Watson’s machinations, guy is looking better in a per game basis. Looking at Peters, I’m ready to pack Chriss with Monroe and maybe a pick other than our own for a nice mid-term solution/patch at PG or Center. How much more would the Pistons’ price for Drummond could be? Chriss and what else would be enough for Rubio?

Bagley/Bender/Peters with a resigned Monroe or Drummond plus Chandler sounds like a Frontcourt to me.

We had a nice start and then blammo! Couldn't score any more. Ballgame.

It was the booker show there tonight and not in a good way

TJ only got going when it was too late.

We really need a 3rd consistent scorer or an upgrade at pg to get other invovled

Bookers passing was nice

Seems the told ulis he needs to start shootingnthe 3 more as he looks less hesitant recently.

Started to see some booker Bender pnr. Wish they ran some plays for Bender. He still didn't attack enough. As a starter he has to.

Somehow we got badly out rebounded by Houston . Not enough D this game and the O was firing blanks at times ( really missed Monroe I thought). We seemed to just want to out gun them from 3 the whole game

Would have been a good game to give reed a run as Daniels shot selection continues to be bad recently.

Yes, it was the Booker show, and not in a good way. When they start depending on him to play the point the offense bogs down and he had 9 turnovers against the Rockets.

He's terrific as a scorer - not so terrific when you're running the entire offense through him.

I'm with you on the bolded part, but I want to see where the season goes before assuming Bagley in the draft.

If I'm bringing in big contract vets to help the team mature, I would want Love and Rubio this summer.

I really liked Bender's game. He went to the basket a lot more, and I think he looked very capable. He missed a few that I think he was just surprised to get the shot and rushed it. If he can consistently attack, he will get used to his body and he'll be prepared to take those shots.

As others have said, I was most encouraged by Bender's game. 14 points on 5-12 shooting and 8 boards. Getting dunked on by Ryan Anderson hurts, but other than that, an expected loss to a much better team.

Some people are already convinced he's a PG.

FWIW, I said from the beginning we should run him there like Milwaukee did Giannis to improve his ball handling & passing skills while the team is not competing for anything. I can live with the turnovers right now because he's learning from them (I hope,) and he's facing constant double teams without a safety valve (sans Warren.)

in the interest of development, and considering Booker is the only permanent piece to the suns future, it's not a bad thing for him to accumulate experience as a playmaker. if we had any realistic hopes for our current pg's, it might be a problem. for now, we could let him run things for awhile every game and live with the turnovers (as long as he keeps others involved and his assists up)
