Jevon Carter is one of my favorites. He gave Trae Young the business, definitely will defend at the next level.

Based on the fact that we've pretty much only brought in guards, it's hard not to think we're drafting Ayton.

There really aren't many non guard prospects outside the top 10

Very true. If I drafted Doncic, I'd still probably draft guard at 14 or 16.

I really don't love this draft. Last year was the draft to acquire a 2nd pick.

Why do you say that?

I'm excited about this draft! We'll get a blue chipper at #1 in Ayton or Doncic, and it looks like there are a lot of interesting guards and swings available at #16. I haven't really paid much attention to the guys who will be there at #31 and #59, though I see folks saying they like some of the prospects there. It will be so much fun to have the first pick for the first time in our franchise history.

From all accounts that I've heard, this is a great draft class.

Maybe he just figured there’s no point in working out for anyone but the team with the #1 pick, because he’s that confident.

OK, that’s probably not it, but it’s fun to imagine.

Anyone else wish we would trade down from #1? I'm not sold on Ayton and there are still good players to be had.

Depends on what we get for it. If we bring in JJJ, Carter or Bagley in for a workout I would guess they are considering it.
