Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Yeah, just not enough players to last 4 quarters with the NBA elite.

Tyler Johnson, 5 points, 5 fouls. Neat.
It says something they they've had to play him 28 minutes tonight. 2 less than Ayton, 3 less that Oubre.

Even the Dubs announcers are bewildered by us just giving away Chandler/Ellington/Rivers for nothing.

Who was saying how players play great right after being traded? Tyler Johnson apparently didn't get the memo.

And probably paid their full salaries in their "buyout".

11-46, 13 straight losses, losers of 20 of the last 22
still right on target to match the expansion year record of 16-66!

I honestly don’t have a problem with us cutting those guys loose. Pretty sure almost everyone here had no interest in keeping rivers on the roster. Ellington doesn’t do anything Daniels can’t do. And dumping Chandler to get Holmes in the lineup was one of our better moves this season.
Sure, we could have kept Chandler to use in a trade as an expiring contract, but I think there is value in letting players play. It was obvious Chandler needed to ride the bench for us. LA was willing to play him, so we did him a favor. Keeping Ellington would have done nothing for us trade wise. And rivers would only have been able to be moved in a straight swap...not likely we would have found anything and I think rivers could have been a problem in the locker room.

I guess in a true Phoenix style, we have to die first in order to reborn later ?

Hey don't look now, but we are actually in this game. Ayton is feasting.
I can't believe anybody ever thought Tyler Johnson should receive a $20m/year contract.
Well the Heat only had to pay 5 mill a season for him. We’re on the hook for the 20 mil per. Riley probably still hasn’t stopped laughing.

I cant believe people think he's not terrible.
We traded for the December Tyler Johnson where he shot like 15% Hurray!
But seriously he didn’t do anything Shaq Harrison and his league minimum contract didn’t do here

Hey, I wouldn't have believed it if you told me the Suns would hang with the Warriors for 3 and a half quarters. I'll take it.

Entertaining game for 3 1/2 quarters. The Ws clearly didnt have it but they're the kind of team that can literally turn it on whenever they want so you knew it was just a matter of time.
Overall tho, we played hard and mostly smart. There are stretches when we play some really good basketball and then some stretches where we just lose it and breakdown defensively and/or start chucking shots. Even then, a lot, and I mean a lot, of shots didn't fall in the 1st half even when we were getting to the line. Most of the game it felt like we were up 12-15 just off some scoring and momentum and you'd look at we'd be up 1. Still, the defense was there and guys were just flying around the ball.
Jackson, Oubre and Bridges stood out in particular on both ends. I really like the way these guys play and hope we can keep all 3. Jackson thrives as a main ballhandler/slasher. I don't know how you can watch the past 5 games and think he still sucks. Oubre's another two way player and might be out best help defender around the rim. His ballhandling's a lot better than I anticipated. Bridges just plays like a 10 year vet. Super smooth all around.
Bender had a nice pass to Ayton in the lane. 6 rebounds, 5 assists. Noteworthy.
This might've been Ayton's best game as a pro. He brought the energy, went right up against Cousins and I don't think you'll find anyone who thought he lost the matchup. He's a completely different player when he's playing his hardest, bouncing around, fighting for boards and getting touches in the post. He was an impact player in his game.
Tyler Johnson just got off the plane, I'll give him more than 24 hours to evaluate.

it's unfortunate that Bender just can't seem to hit a 3 these days because he played a really good first quarter. Warriors absolutely kill teams with back screens, back cuts and Bender's rotations were on the money getting a couple steals or forcing tough shots. Also had a couple nice feeds to Ayton but like I said if he's not hitting his shot it kinda of a buzz kill
in my game by game Mikal off the dribble update yet more signs of progress and him getting comfortable. his catch n shoot release is much better now after some of us were getting a lil worried about it because it didn't seem as fluid as college. a couple more 3s off the dribble this game when defender went under the screen and EJ was happy to see him do the classic pump fake into two dribble midrange pull up. just good stuff all around

I wish they would just run Jackson as their PG. He is the best ballhandler and offense-setter-upper on the team. Just let him do it.

Agreed. I'd run JJ and even Oubre as point-forward if it means getting Booker out of that role. Book just doesn't have it.
On a side note...I think I enjoy watching these guys more without Booker at the moment.

It would be nice if we could just incorporate Booker into the offense instead of him taking over the offense.

I think a lot of it is that the other guys play harder and more aggressively when Booker is out because they know they have to.

This. And if that means he has more left in the tank when there is 3 minutes to go in the 4th and we need some buckets, let him take over there. But doing it all game just gets the rest of the team less involved.
