For all the criticism a lobbed his way, Damian Jones has looked solid.

When are we going to realize that Carter is not a pg?
What other choice do they have when Payne isn't available or isn't good?
You're right. I'm not super happy about Jones basically ignoring the backup pg position.

Ugh, E'twaun Moore had two terrible possessions to end the half: that going one on one for the fade-away air ball, and then that awful pass to Stix with hardly any time for him to get the shot off.

Bogdanovic misses a WIDE OPEN 3, and then his a step back 3 with a guy draped all over him.

Galloway is a BALLER.

Moore looks like Troy Daniels out there (not a compliment)

Jalen has shown more off the dribble game in like 20 preseason minutes than Ayton has ever shown. Not necessarily supposed to be an Ayton attack, I just wasn’t expecting that from Smith.

Book looks good tonight. Ayton is gonna love playing pick n roll with CP3

Moore is off today. Galloway stays hot.

Smith is solid. You can tell he’s a player.

Ayton is a puss puss. Nothing has changed in his approach.

I was thinking the same thing. Why is a rookie who hasn't played in nine months showing more aggression than the Generational Talent?!

I was yelling at my TV about Ayton's lack of taking anyone off the dribble and settling for that damn midrange.

Smith doesn’t look like the timid rookie out there, that’s DA

I think it depends on if he keeps fumbling passes or letting little guys stop him from going up and dunking on them. I think CP3 will tear him apart if he keeps that up.

Missed the entire 1st qtr so there's that. A lot of smaller lineups from Monty because Cam, Saric and Crowder are out. A healthy dose of Carter/Gallo/Moore/Bridges/Jones or Carter/Book/Moore/Mikal/Ayton. Moore and Gallo just aren't PGs. Moore needs to be catching and shooting only. Gallo can do a bit more with the ball but he's not looking to set others up. Carter same thing.

The offense was humming with the starters in the 2nd qtr. CP just commands the floor and makes it easy on everyone. We won't know what we really have with the 2nd unit until Crowder and Saric get out there tho so Monty can really play around and find the right combos of guys to play off each other.

Stix looks good, plays with confidence and seems steady. Jones is a live, athletic big. Wonder if Monty gets him some PnR with Paul because he's probably more of a roll/lob threat than Ayton.

I'd love for once to see Ayton just get an offensive board and go right back up strong with it. So frustrating.
