Alvarado comes in and promptly fouls Chris Paul. Textbook pest.

Enough with the cute shit. Can't let Alvarado guard McGee in the post.

Jonas got away with fouling Ayton on both ends, back to back.

Need some shots to fall, but our defense is stifling them

Feels like the Pels will make a 3rd quarter run as they seem to have settled down now.

One thing I learned about Chris Paul recently came from his appearance on JJ Reddick's podcast. He never wants to pass the ball on the last possession of a quarter. He's always looking to shoot in that situation.

Ayton in particular was fantastic on the defensive end. His rotations and contests at the rim on passes and shots were on point.

And they’re letting us play physical…if we can play like this every team is gonna struggle to score on us.

They’ve taken 10 more shots than us and we’ve made 10 more shots than them.

We're seeing the worst parts of Ingram in the first half. He can get pretty much any shot he wants, but rarely does he show initiative to assert himself over the defense.

The epitome of this was late in the 2nd when he returned a pass to Alvarado who was being guarded by Ayton on the perimeter instead of taking on Cam Johnson. Ayton on Alvarado isn't really a mismatch, and while Cam is a good defender, Ingram is a better scorer and the Pels desperately need him to lead the offensive charge.
