I was just glad I was able to witness this game tonight. Wow.
I watched the Bulls broadcast and they were slobbering all game about these two.
They certainly were which was odd that in the 4th quarter when Book was sitting, they were talking about how the Warriors were the team to beat. Umm the #1 seed in the West's All Star guard just put 51 on you in 30 minutes on 80% shooting and the Center put up 30. What exactly have the Warriors shown you this season to make you feel like they are the team to beat?

What a beautiful performance by Book. Effortless. Found myself rooting for the Bulls not to be so trash so that Booker could keep going but alas...trash they were.
I remember when the Twitterverse was kicking and screaming that Lavine was better than Book. Fun times.

I am also watching the game just now. About 8 min in, DeRozan had a post up on Payne. I don’t understand why that play is not a travel. The announcers and crowd and players all didn’t complain about it, but he clearly picked up his pivot foot before the ball left his hands. And it’s not like he leapt with two feet.
And he pulled the same move again against Booker at the 9:45 mark in the third. Makes me feel like I don’t know anything about the rules.

Tonight reminded me of watching some of Michael Jordan's special games back in the day. It was amazing to witness.

That step through move been common in Europe/FIBA for some time
Then the ladies started doing it in the WNBA and now yes here we are. I smh every time also cause in my mind I think it is, even an exchange student from Germany at a high school my buddy coaches at goes to that move often

Here's a fun fact watching back the game
Caruso hits a 3 to cut the Suns lead to 22-20 with 3+ mins left in the quarter. At that point Book was only on 2pts before drawing a 3pt play the ensuing possession
So technically he dropped 49pts in 22mins

Nice dominant win that was a blowout towards halftime. Can't say more about Book, who's in Mamba Mode these last few games. He's just in a zone and no one's been able to stop him.
DA another really strong performance and just had his way with Vuc. He did it inside and outside and even dunked the ball!
Quiet games from the rest but it was good to see Shamet get it going. He was awful on the ball but we'll have to manage for now. Once he was able to move off some screens and get his shots, he was better. He just too much of an east-west player to be effective with the ball in his hands. Payne was solid but his floater/runner wasn't working at all. Lee gave us solid minutes as usual. TC and Mikal were quiet but we didn't need much from them.
It seems like Monty's using Biz as the first half backup center and Landale comes in at the end of the 3rd, start of the 4th. I like that he's using both because they're both good enough to play their roles and it's a good way to keep them engaged and locked in, rather than sitting one for an extended amount of games. I still think Landale plays better with the more offensive unit while Biz works best with the defensive scrappers but Monty's sticking with his lineups/rotations for now.

And all star replacement player with the start probably going to Klay.
Book will be a reserve, but not because of Klay. Luka and Curry will be the starters. Ja could also sneak in there.

Just wanna thank PatBev for waking up Ayton. He's never looked better.

Yep, if this is the Ayton we get the rest of the year, we can do some damage. We just absolutely need to cash in…I’d float the Crowder/Saric/Shamet plus picks package all over the league and see what we can add.
At this point I’d want to hang onto Payne and Craig…of course I wouldn’t hesitate to include them if need be to get a star, but I like what they are doing. Lee too.
One thought is if Portland falls off and we offer them the Crowder/Saric/1st package for Jerami Grant. I think that could be a big boost for us. Kuzma would be nice too. I’ll be rooting for Blazers/Wizards to fall off and become willing to sell.
All I know is we need to add someone(preferably a big playmaking wing)

It was good seeing Thunder Dan Majerle in the house last night.

I don’t get how rebounds can be awarded and taken away. Guess they can give it to someone else?
They took away a missed field goal attempt also, so at least one of them was one of the times that he knocked the ball up into the air after a teammate's miss, and they had originally counted it as an offensive rebound and missed tip-up.

Ah that makes sense. There was one where Payne tipped the ball in a battle with a Bulls player which Ayton secured. I can see in that scenario they might see that as a Payne rebound.

I was being facetious … still can’t get over Wiggins the ASG starter. They did win the championship and he was integral, but him being a starter makes a mockery of the all star game.

In that case I wish our guys start doing that. Imagine a guy like a Mikal taking an extra step, with all that length …

Very therapeutic to see the Suns in those Jerseys dominate the Bulls .. especially with that 1-2 combo ... Mmmmm I'm so satisfied.
