They won’t do much imo. Talk is cheap. Trump keeps losing all these legal battles because he is a criminal, not because they are picking on him. Kari is trying to ride in his footsteps by spreading made up BS, intentionally attacking all of our institutions and hurting our Democracy for personal gain. Nixon was also one of those lowest of low Americans. Johnson was President. Talks possibly ending the Vietnam war were going on and Johnson, who wasn’t running again brought Humphrey and Nixon together to tell them about the news since they were the Presidential candidates in the election coming up. Nixon thought to himself “Damn, if the war is over before the election it will make Johnson look good and give an edge to Humphrey and I can’t have that.” Nixon decided to sabotage the peace talks so the war wouldn’t end on Johnson’s shift. Thousands died because of that evil decision. Johnson found out about Nixon’s deliberate sabotage of the talks and decided if America found out it would hurt our democracy and chose to keep silent about it.

The actual Trump indictment is solid. They supposedly have a ton of evidence that proves their case beyond a shadow of doubt. The problem is that it’s in Florida, which is a bright red state. The jury pool will be Trump supporters and the Judge is a Trump appointed judge. She could railroad the prosecution if she desires and she has already shown she is pro Trump from her previous botched ruling that was overturned. This is no slam dunk for the prosecution.

They asked for the files back nicely. He said he didn’t have any. Then they subpoenaed him and he gave back some. Then they said you didn’t give them all back. He said they did. They raided his place on a search warrant and found a crapload more. Some even in his personal desk next to his passports. Trumps response? “All they had to do is ask and I would have given them back!” Then he says it was one of his aids fault for accidentally packing them with his stuff. Then he says he did take them on purpose because they are his and he is allowed to take them. Then he says they were declassified by him before taking them. Asked when they were declassified he responded all he had to do is think about declassifying them and they were declassified because he was the President.

Trump will probably escape once again unscathed where others would rot in prison for the same crimes he keeps committing.

He is caught on tape talking about how he could have declassified them if he was still President but it’s too late now. That proves he knows what he did was wrong. He campaigned on tightening the laws around classified documents and prosecuting people that broke the rules. The grifter Trump was quoted saying the government paid Nixon 18 million to get the docs back from him suggesting the government should have paid Trump to get the classified docs back.
