There is definitely risk here for the Suns. Beal is owed an ungodly amount of money. There is no guarantee that the Beal-Booker backcourt can even work. And Frank Vogel looks like an odd fit with this super team.
HOWEVER
1. We're finally done with Chris Paul.
2. Kyrie isn't coming here.
3. Shamet is gone.
Congratulations to the Wizards for making the worst trade in NBA history.
Beal had all of the leverage. You can't call it the worst trade in NBA history when he had a no-trade clause and could dictate all of the terms of the deal.
Not really.

Ayton is a goner.
To Dallas for THJ, Josh Green, Javale and the 10th pick? One can dream.
To Charlotte for Hayward, Mark Williams and their late 1st round pick?

Crazy idea...put this elsewhere not expect this...seems appropriate here...
a. Wiz negotiate a buyout w/Chris, he retires.
b. Suns hire Chris as a bench coach for this season, works on his health for the season.
c. Coming season, Chris unretires and joins as the second unit PG.
After watching this, I’m convinced Ayton will be moved.
He's wrong. They can easily stay under the second apron this season.
Durant: 47,649,433
Beal: 46,741,590
Booker: 36,016,200
Ayton: 32,459,438
Payne (waive before June 29): 2,000,000
7 vet min. players: 12,600,000
4 rookie min. players: 4,000,000

He did though. He could pick whatever he wanted or veto otherwise. He might as well have been a free agent.

This is the 2nd time a star has handed himself to James Jones. The allure of Booker must be incredibly high around the league.

Another potential positive to the trade is now KD won't have to be KD all year long. He's 35, he can ease up a bit, load manage or let Beal and Book cook for the majority of the game and then get going in the 4th. He won't be the 3rd option, but doesn't need to carry a team either (barring injuries of course). If we're smart, we'll manage everyone's minutes and rest accordingly; this could also be a positive with Vogel, who may be more inclined to rest guys than Monty seemed to be.
Regardless of the circumstances, it's easily one of the worst trades ever from a value perspective. There's not a chance in hell a GM like Ainge or Riley makes this deal.

LOL. James Jones could hand you a winning Powerball ticket and you'd somehow figure out a way to not give him credit.
Stop me when I'm lying lol.
I don't believe the idea that Beal would only go to Phoenix.
Maybe, maybe not, but I'd be willing to bet Ishbia has more pull than JJ. There's also a chance Washington just preferred the cap room to whatever Miami was offering.
