Suns News: Week 2 (10/30 - 11/5)
Re: Suns News: Week 2 (10/30 - 11/5)
Guess who leads the nba in Defensive Box Plus-Minus? Our very own Jusuf Nurkic.

I think it's really cool that Booker is embracing his Mexican heritage.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Every thread is DomiNurkic's thread.

I was bored so I looked up Book’s stats in all the games he’s played with KD(20 games and they say 20 games is when the sample size starts to matter, right?):
31.6 points
4.7 rebounds
7.1 assists
1.6 steals
0.6 blocks
2.8 turnovers
55.2% from the field
41.8% from 3
86.4% from the ft line
65.7% TS
That’s an mvp if he does it for a full season.

Correction…. That’s mvp for anyone else in the league, but not book. They like to move the goal post constantly with that guy when it comes to giving him any accolades.Split T wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 1:14 pmI was bored so I looked up Book’s stats in all the games he’s played with KD(20 games and they say 20 games is when the sample size starts to matter, right?):

Pretty sick stats and love watching him work on the court and hoping he gets back asap.
Re: Suns News: Week 2 (10/30 - 11/5)
Nah if he put up those stats and the suns were a top tier regular season team, it would take a lot to not give it to him.
Re: Suns News: Week 2 (10/30 - 11/5)
They don't call him the defensive anchor for nothing.
Re: Suns News: Week 2 (10/30 - 11/5)
DBPM is admittedly a terrible stat. Even the creators of it admit it’s not very good. It can only take info from the box score. Nurk currently has very good Def rebounding rate, steal rates, and block rates. Combine that with the suns having the 4th best defensive rating in the nba so far and that’s what does it. Our defense has been much better with him on the bench though.

Nerds need to leave the NBA alone.Split T wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 1:42 pmDBPM is admittedly a terrible stat. Even the creators of it admit it’s not very good. Love, Hurts.

It’s funny to me how prevalent of an advanced stat it is when the creators of it even admit it’s not good.

I enjoy Gilbert Arenas when he's telling stories, but I can't stand his takes on current happenings in the league.

Arenas is awful, his whole squad is awful. Rashad McCants is especially terrible, he the most jealous former NBA player I've ever seen.
Love, Hurts.
