Another low energy, poor start. Hopefully they can get their sh*t together like they did against the Lakers
Bud laid into them at halftime and it paid off!

Looks like I'm missing a stinker. Good luck guys.
Nope. No such thing with this team. They can have a stinker half but not a whole game. This team is the polar opposite of last year's team and has great 4th quarters.

Where would we be without Royce and Dunn? 000 are locked it
Who woulda thunk that all these zeros could add up to so much?!

That’s game. Thank you, Royce.
When Ryan was Dunn, Royce rolled in.

Went to the game.

Ryan Dunn was awesome. He really was the difference.

Other than that, Intuit dome is really an amazing venue. Too bad the clippers have such a bad product on the court.
Because the arena experience and the new look(logo, colors, jerseys) are all very well done.

Ryan Dunn's game remembers me of Grant Hill tenure with us. Considering he's a rookie, he really plays defense like a vet and don't try to do too much on the offensive end.

Great comeback, think we hit 15 straight at one point in the 3rd. Book looked like vintage Book in this one, his best game of the season so far and not just because of his scoring but his overall play and flow. Looked more comfortable than ever. But also this was probably KD's worst game of the season. We just can't have him handling or making decisions with the ball.

Dunn and Royce were the heroes in this one with their shooting and defense. They're dogs through and through. I thought we were were really at our best when it was Book, Royce, Allen, Dunn and Plumlee in the 3rd. Played thru Book, Royce and Dunn played their roles and Plumlee was solid inside. Allen's rusty but that's the lineup where we can spread it out with 3pt shooting, let it fly, and still play really good defense. With Nurk and KD, things still feel really congested and guys tend to stand around watching too much.

The start to this one was extremely concerning. No one was in sync, poor shooting and turnovers. A lot of it was Nurk but people are overlooking KD's mistakes and sloppiness. KD and Nurk (and Plum) shouldn't be bringing the ball upcourt or trying to make plays at the 3pt line. If it's part of the offensive system, it's gotta go. They're TOs just waiting to happen. We have Tyus Jones and he's just jogging upcourt and standing on the wing watching. When he was doing his job in the 2nd half, we were able to make the comeback and hold the lead.

Can we put together 48 minutes of what we did in the 2nd half? We're playing with fire getting down so much, so early. Happened a lot last year and we have the talent to come back and win, but we need to play and execute consistently over the course of the game. Can Nurk reign it and stop trying to play like Joker? Can KD just be a super duper roleplaying scorer and stay off the ball? We've made really good adjustments in our games this year but it's got to carry over. We've got the pieces but everyone's gotta put it all together.

I agree with all of this. I think we can get there. I see much better fundamentals, better bones, on this year's team. It's going to take them a while to adjust to having Tyus Jones and overall better PG play. Coach Bud can work on this with them. He's clearly having an impact already.

Ahhh
The joy of watching on playback. That first half definitely required me to pause the game and go do something else while relaxing my mind enough to resume SMH 🤦‍♂️
Kudos to those who were posting Live and didn't turn off lol

Royce really has come back very sharp this year. I sometimes have reservations about the +/- stat but anybody watching our games can easily see his impact so far.
Dunn is just fun and his demeanor, just chewing his gum and never flustered lol. On court interview afterwards shows that dude is so grounded and clearly has great perspective

Wanna shout out Coach Bud.
Just about everyone here was benching Nurk for the rest of the game but credit to him also for playing a decent 3rd quarter and we still have to acknowledge his part in that 15/15 to start the quarter. He usually comes out mid quarter but Bud left him in probably for 9mins I think.

Again
Bud tinkers with lineups during the game all the time and it bodes well that even guys that playing limited minutes all seem ready to contribute when their number is called.

Absolutely loving Buds impact so far. It does help that he has 10 guys who have a tangible skill to rely on and not a bunch if garbagio on the bench.

Shout out to reserve center Royce O'Neale who is now 3rd on the team in total rebounds and 2nd in blocks.

Just watched back most of the game, this time Clippers broadcast

They weren't talking ish tho and even at HT were saying that it is going to be an interesting game because Suns will make a run
Obviously kept praising Book n KD
Said we have a real find in Dunn and how well he played

Even that key play where many refs would have given Harden 3 fts but Dunn leaked out and got the dunk. No complaining

My fav part tho was
Porter Jr started hot but geeez that dude doesn't pass and law of avgs caught up to him and he was missing a bunch.

"quick shot by Porter Jr"
"Porter Jr for 3.... when you've hit 1 all season might want to get a better shot"
"Porter Jr for another 3, now 1 for 15 on the season"

I was like daaaamn, good thing this the home broadcast lol :D

Love this. This year is very different than the anemic offense of last year.

And Kevin Young was the highest paid yet inept assistant coach ever. A shit coach and assistant. No wonder we were terrible. So fortunate we got Bud, Holbrook's finest.

Hard to know how much impact Young had…I remember seeing him get upset with Vogel at times…I think Vogel is a great defensive coach that was over his head offensively and didn’t trust Kevin Young. Doesn’t help that he probably knew Kevin Young wanted his job.
