We need an asshole on the team. I don’t know that we miss CP3’s basketball skills as much as we miss his personality. CP3 didn’t let people lose focus.
In hindsight, we should have just stuck with him. Like Bobster said elsewhere, all kinds of hindsight here. The KD trade was a swing and a miss! The best ability is availability and as far as I know, Bridges has still never missed a game. Plus, giving away all our assets. Even we all knew that was a bad idea. Ishbia's KD at all costs was not smart. That splash hasn't had very many ripples.
I don't know, that last season with Mikal and Cam was pretty bad. I'd probably still do the KD trade but would have just kept hold of Paul instead of giving him up for Beal. Would we have won a championship? No. I reckon we'd have made it out of the first round though!
I don't miss Bridges or Cam. We weren't getting back to the finals with that roster.
And we are with KD in the training room?

All this trade talk is moot if Beal doesn’t give his okay. The fact there’s this much smoke makes me think he might’ve already said he’s open to it as long as he’s going Miami.

A reminder that KD played 75 games last year and all the playoff games since he's been traded for.

Jimmy Butler trade rumors

I figured we needed a thread devoted to this since it's being discussed all over the place.

Beal for Butler and somehow keeping 2031 would be a major win. Then you just attach the pick to Nurk or Okogie and see what the best 5 you can get is and we might be in business.

Listen to some of the burns and Gambo show yesterday and here’s a short recap on what he said

Said we’re Jimmy’s 1st choice. If Jimmy really wanted to, he does have a “only phoenix” button he can press.

Implied Miami would be more agreeable to Beal’s contract now that 75 million is off the contact and because there would be two years left after this season.

Very very very unlikely they would trade ‘31 1st pick in the Jimmy deal. Said Suns want to hold on to that pick, would only use for a great player that is preferably younger.

Thinks it’s 10-20 percent chance this actually happens. Team wants to see how we preform over the next month. Obviously if we look mid, chances of the trade will go up.

One of Grayson, Nurk or Okogie will be gone by deadline. He thinks Grayson is there best trade asset but said the Suns really like Grayson and want to keep him.

Usually where there's smoke there's fire. I don't understand wanting to wait another month to see how this current team works. While we were 8-1 to start the season, we werent dominating teams like some juggarnaut. KD was bailing us out and we were still shaky at best on both ends. And waiting another month means nothing if one of KD, Beal or Book goes down with some random injury as has been the case.

Say they go 1-3 over the next 4 I don't think they'll do another month, I think it's just talk to keep things seeming like they aren't worried. I think Jones and Ishbia can see the Book/Beal redundancy isn't going to work, especially when KD isn't playing.

Let’s see…..duplication of roles and an unbalanced team with no real fight that can’t compete without KD and is not actually that good with him.

Compared to……round pegs in round holes. A much more balanced team in the starting 5. A competitive edge we sorely miss that won’t allow anyone to take nights off. Oh, and we can let him walk after his shorter contract to help with some more flexibility we need moving forward if it doesn’t work out.

No brainer for me.

Then get to work on the 5 spot!

I’d trade Wiggins for Jimmy so fast lol

Maybe low key Jimmy already pushed “only Phoenix” button and we just gonna be in a holding pattern for a little bit haha

Maybe the Heat just want to see if he changes his mind before the deadline or something.

We can go undefeated for rest of the month and we still be a better team with Jimmy. I don’t get the “wait and see” approach either.
