Tough one
As much as our live ball turnovers were once again a prob
The random 3s from the Nuggets were the difference. Legler (who actually breaks down the game) and not just talk garbage kept eluding to the fact that they not a high volume team
Bummer
At least the bench was up, the guys showed a pulse again
Maybe too late or will it matter that some consistent effort might be there going forward....

Fun comeback, especially the great Book to KD play to force OT. But we don't guard anybody, we leave the other team's best 3pt shooters wide open, so of course they will hit big shots on us. I was excited that we forced OT but I knew there was no way we would steal a game in OT in Denver at altitude. Really impressive 30-20-20 game for Jokic, though; that guy is insane.
It's unfortunate that we've watched almost 2-3 months of underwhelming play so now I can understand why most wouldn't find any positives in these games
But that was a really solid effort in my opinion after cleaning up the turnovers late on
I don't think last night was the same old story from 3 because guys I have seen torched Suns have at least been shooting guards
The Wolves game is a great example because there can't be any game plan that says leave Donte so was just bad rotations
Last night, Murray had one 3pt and Porter Jr also
You just have no choice but to double Joker and it was obvious that we didn't wanna help much off those two guys so Gordon, Braun, Watson got looks
You can't plan for Gordon who only hit 40+ for the whole season to connect on 7.....
And all weren't just wide open
You wanna stop the 3 of them in particular from getting paint points cutting off Joker. Keeping them out on the 3pt line "is a win" gameplan wise
Even Braun's go ahead 3
Joker gets it FT line and Porter Jr is in the opposite corner because that's likely who gets open on rotation
But we covered that, Joker realized he didn't have the pass and then hit Braun who again we would rather him shoot than Porter Jr
It's unfortunate that we gonna want to look like a basketball team who trying when we probably at a no room for error stage of the season
I think it's a sign of a bad/unprepared/checked out team when they consistently come out flat and dig a big hole early in the game. Yea the comeback is fun and sometimes they might pull it out but it's really telling that they can't play hard and execute from start to finish. And it's more fool's gold..."we were right there", "we fought hard", "if we could just...", "well at least we...". The players we're starting aren't playing with any urgency and the coaches for some reason aren't playing the guys who will give us the effort we need.
Plumlee probably playing his best game of the year.
And yet 31, 22 and 21, a historic triple double, from the Joker. It did really feel like he had to work for that when I saw Plumlee playing late in the game.

Yeah, we're very rarely playing with the lead. Always playing from behind. It's like we don't wake up unless behind. And then the rare times we do have the lead, we let down and seem to lose it immediately, never grow it.
We know who Bud is now. Don't expect minutes for those guys. Bud is going to go down with the ship playing veterans, his way. Makes more and more sense why he laughed off Gillespie starting. Not even a remote possibility in his mind. He's going to keep doing what he's doing. And getting the same results, I might add.
