I wish we knew the severity of the victim's injuries. You'd think the media would have uncovered something about that by now.

Great journalism there guys.
That's a really good point. If it wasn't bad, the Suns would be all over it saying how it wasn't bad. The writing on the wall. Hopefully the silence is because they are being shopped and they don't want to ruin it.carey wrote:The Suns are being very aggressive with the media from what I have heard. If you listen to that sham of an interview on KTAR or even go to BrightSide where the only thing is a article with a link to the original KPHO story with no commentary. Thats not really true. The suns are probabaly just cooperating with police while they gather all the info. It might be really bad or it might not. Like Mori said, I don't understand how anyone could draw conclusions from what we know which is basically there was some sort of altercation.Indy wrote:That's a really good point. I think we can both agree, as fellow Dolphins fans, that the current Suns FO and the Dolphins FO go about handling the media very differently.Sunsfan4life wrote:Thats not really true. There was something very similar involving the Pouncey Twins (I'm a huge Dolphins fan which has Mike Pouncey on it) that happened outiside a club and it turned out to be nothing more then basically a money grab, infact Mike had nothing to do with it at all and the Dolphins were silent on the whole thing until they gathered all the facts. So I don't like to jump to conclusions on issues like this....
The problem is now they're tougher to get value for, if true. At least as a package deal.Indy wrote:I am kind of in the same boat. Getting in a short fight where a guy goes to the hospital because he is bleeding a bit is very different than beating a guy silly. Either way, there needs to be some repercussions. And I am happy to get rid of both if this is true.
He played Wednesday night after the alleged altercation. Nothing visible.Mori Chu wrote:The thing about being "hospitalized" is, if you get hit once, you'll probably get a badly bloody nose and a black eye at the minimum. That's just how it is. Being sent to the ER or hospital as a precaution is not that unusual. I'd be more upset if I heard he had broken bones, had been knocked out, or other more significant damage. Either way, a pro athlete shouldn't be getting into fights and punching people, obviously, and it's not okay if Marcus did so. The other thing I haven't heard yet is, did Marcus himself get hit? Was he injured? Again, I just don't feel like I have enough information to know what to think of it yet.
Which is the smart move if they want any chance of getting good value for them in a trade.carey wrote:The Suns are being very aggressive with the media from what I have heard. Sorry dude i find this ridiculous. Comparing getting a technical for arguing with an official vs assult is a huge reach.AmareIsGod wrote:I guess my guilty until proven innocence stems from the examples they've demonstrated as of late. Constant technicals and chirping at the officials. Marcus blowing up more than I've seen any Suns player blow up towards his head coach, looking menacing and on the edge of assaulting Hornacek.
As the saying goes, where there's smoke, there's fire.
First off, great to have a fellow fin fan on the board. Yes they are very secretive bout that stuff but i think the morri prob get more benefit of the doubt then the pouncys who have been involved in other dumb stuff. Off topic bit u think the release mike wallace after the crap he pulled?Indy wrote:I think we can both agree, as fellow Dolphins fans, that the current Suns FO and the Dolphins FO go about handling the media very differently.Sunsfan4life wrote:Thats not really true. I am actually concerned that there is almost zero local reporting on it, more so than if it was reported, and the Suns came out and said, we are not going to comment on active investigations, and we, along with the Morri, are cooperating fully.
This is a message board. We speculate... a lot. Actually, I think we speculate more here than report on what actually happened. This is nothing more than that. We are trying to guess what is going to happen in the future based on a small amount of information we have now. It is no different than our trade guesses, and the results of games. The only reason it is different is because we are guessing on what already happened, but don't know yet.Mori Chu wrote:I'm kind of disappointed in most of the messages in this thread. Three particular sentiments, being made by multiple people here, are sticking in my craw:
1) There are rumors, therefore the Morrii must have definitely "done it", i.e., done something wrong, done what they are accused of doing, broken the law, etc.
2) The fact that the Suns haven't yet said much about the situation implies guilt on the part of the Morrii.
3) The Suns have been trying to trade the Morrii; and even if they hadn't, they certainly should now in light of this situation.
I just don't see how any of the three above points can be made right now with any certainty. I'm also bummed out that most folks here don't seem willing to give our players or our team any benefit of the doubt. No charges have been filed, and nobody has been convicted of or even accused of any crime. How would any of you react if a rumor started about you doing something wrong, and everybody jumped on it and made sweeping judgments about you before the facts were nailed down?
I think there is a lot of confirmation bias going on in this thread. People who tend to believe every rumor and bit of gossip are jumping all over this story. And people who don't like the Morrii are using this as a reason to rag on them. Now there very well may be some truth to the story, and we'll probably find out more in the coming days. But I'm surprised that more folks aren't waiting to reserve their judgment until that time.
