I have to admit, we seem to cut bait with our FAs at the right time lately, Hill, Nash, Frye.... they all bad mouth us when they leave & then proceed to play like shit.

Sarver also said Dragic apologized to him personally a day after making those comments. Not that it did any good. That "negative" perception is the only thing that got any publicity.

Frye is overpaid. Paying him 8mil a year would of been nuts...so if we were thinking about matching, I'm thankful he only gave us 3 mins. But I'll always remember him as part of that 2010 run.

Most interesting part I thought besides the Dragic stuff, was Sarver basically admitting that Dragic,IT & Bled didn't get along off the court. He said IT wanted to be a starter and had a bit of an ego (said its what makes him so successful though) and said there personalities didn't get along off the court. I think theres truth to that IT & Goran scuffle rumor that was going around at the deadline.

Just a little something I thought that was interesting when thinking of Brandon Knight versus Damian Lillard (who is actually older than Knight).

This backcourt seems more settled now. With Dragic, Bledsoe, and IT it always seemed like it was a transitional situation. Someone was going to have to be moved.

The body language on the courts seems good too. It was an odd combo of personalities. Dragic seemed fragile (insecure) personally. He did not like it when the Suns traded for Bledsoe, but then did OK when he was injured and then Bledsoe would be a free agent. When they signed Bledsoe and IT, it was just too much for him. He did not like that competition on the roster--especially because IT is so edgy (Napoleon complex, like with Nate Robinson).

IT is playing well in Boston, and he will eventually do very well when he lands with roster where his personality is not an issue. He just doesn't work with players who have sensitive egos like Dragic and Cousins.

Not sure what Bledsoe thought of all of it. What is good is that Bledsoe and Knight seem fine together.

Brown will be as good as his defense and rebounding take him. He's got a beautiful shot, but if he can't contribute anywhere else that won;t be enough.

If the Suns recent flurry of moves is ultimately seen as a success, it will be because of the growth of guys like Len, Warren, Goodwin and Reggie Bullock. If they can fill out a core surrounding Bledsoe, Knight and the Morris Twins, Phoenix should be a power in the Western Conference for a long time to come.

Warren and Len are the perfect long-term complements to the core already in place, slotting in at C and SF around Markieff Morris and the two-headed backcourt of Bledsoe and Knight. All five have a good mix of length, athleticism, shooting ability and two-way play and Morris, at 25, is the oldest of the bunch. Under McDonough, the Suns have been able to pull off the rare double of rebuilding while staying competitive and they should be in position over the next few seasons to take a playoff spot when one of the teams above them slips.

The most impressive part of what they have done over the last 1.5 seasons has been their ability to manage assets and turn nothing into something. There should be a rule in Los Angeles that Doc Rivers is not allowed to make trades with McDonough, who used to work with him in Boston. Thanks to the Clippers' coach/GM, the Suns were able to turn Caron Butler into Eric Bledsoe and Shavlik Randolph into Reggie Bullock. Acquiring Bullock wasn’t necessary when they already had Goodwin and Bogdan Bogdanovic (the No. 27 pick in the 2014 draft who is still in Europe) in the pipeline, but who can turn down free money lying on the ground?

Caron Butler into Eric Bledsoe? That isn't how it happened. Dudley & a 2nd rounder into Bledsoe & Butler. Butler then went to Bucks for Ish Smith & Kravtsov.

Yay! Our plan should be to wait until someone else isn't as good anymore so we can take their place. Sorry, but that take is just plain ignorant. You don't get better by having your competition get worse.

I'm not sure that's the point there. Yes you have to improve but those teams in front of us aren't giving up their all-stars and future hall-of-famers, are they?

We all wish we had Davis or Wiggins on this roster, but it's not that easy to get your hands on a #1 pick.
