What if they threw in Johnson? I think they love Okungwu and honestly I’m not sure they have much interest in Ayton blocking his path to more playing time.
Yes, Johnson would be a must. Johnson/Fernando/Matthews/Bogdanovic works money wise, but you'd only be getting one proven rotation player. I have confidence in Johnson and Fernando, but I doubt the Suns would.

If you could get Dallas to offer Bullock, THJ, and Holmes for Ayton and Payne…
Payne is on a decent contract and is a contributor. Throwing in that deal is a waste IMO.

I’d definitely go after Plumlee, Bryant, or Eubanks to fill out the 5 rotation.
You must mean Miles Plumlee, because you're not getting Mason Plumlee for the vet minimum.

You need Payne for the salaries to work, but if you just take out Holmes, Ayton for Bullock/THJ works.
And ya, I doubt Plumlee signs for the minimum. Just wishful thinking.

I don't think Capela is that overpriced for a double double rim protector.
Unfortunately for him, the NBA only uses single rims.

As bad as a THJ and Bullock return is, Id take it. Aytons gotta go. When you quit on your team in the playoffs thats gotta be the final straw.

I'll channel my inner JeremyG and remind you that Kobe Bryant quit on the Lakers in Game 7 versus us. Different circumstances though...

Pretty sure Kobe had 3 or 4 rings before that happened. If Ayton can do that Ill give him a pass to quit in a playoff game.

For me, any DA trade for depth pieces is more about reallocating the money to other areas. You're not going to get everything you want back in the deal and the talent probably won't be equal but we've committed to the Big 3 so we don't need a $30mil center.
We got killed for dumping TJ for a 2nd but we needed that money for a PG and signing Rubio was exactly what we needed to start the turnaround. Gimme a serviceable center and a few 3-D wings and I'm confident we'll be more than fine.

Gallo and/or Prince would be really good signings for us. Gallo's really become a plodder these days but would give us a nice shooting forward. Prince would give us that 3/4 defensive player. Plus he's a Baylor guy and we seem to love them. Fischer's article also mentions DDV as a target for the Knicks joining up with Brunson and Hart from Villanova (plus Mikal in BK)

San Antonio was known to be waiting with a short-term contract for Reid and the hope of pairing him with Victor Wembanyama in the frontcourt, sources said. Now the Spurs will have to turn to other targets, perhaps someone like Pelicans center Jonas Valančiūnas, as New Orleans and San Antonio recently did business on offloading Devonte’ Graham’s contract, and the Pelicans, sources said, have since made Valančiūnas available in search of more mobile, rim-protecting big men.

It will be interesting to see if Sacramento moves off of Harrison Barnes to bring in Kyle Kuzma.
And that would make Harrison Barnes a non-taxpayer MLE candidate, as some of you predicted...

And they'd be eligible to sign here because their pre-buyout salaries are below the $12+ mil threshold.
Prince seems to fit Vogel's style. Not sure if Gallo would be welcomed.

If Prince wants to come here for the vet min, that would be a great get. Another couple names to keep an eye on are John Wall and Eric Gordon.

Eric Gordon is very interesting if the Clippers release him. He’d be my top target…but he also could get more than the minimum if he wants.

Yeah, Gordon is a no-brainer for the minimum.

Would EG be redundant with Beal?
Saw on Twitter that the Pacers may be making a move for Barnes.

Shooting is never redundant…especially one who can also defend a bit and put the ball on the floor.

And is likely a willing bench player at this point in his career who can provide depth. He fits the possible scenario of, "has made a lot of money and is willing to come for less for playing time and winning."
Clippers have to make their decision by tomorrow.
