I don't think Book, KD, or Beal are the type of players that make plays like that over and over at will, like Kyrie, Luka, Haliburton, LeBron or CP3.
That's fine but you can still instruct them to shoot the ball rather than dump it to Eubanks with the shot clock running down.
You're talking about a handful of plays over the entire season?

Ya it was bad decisions by our ball handlers for sure, but it’s not like it was happening every game

We certainly didn’t use him very well. He’s strictly a rim runner and not a very good short roll playmaker…we tried to use him like we use Nurk and that didn’t work…
He was better with Portland and probably a lot of that was how they used him. He’s better with a pg spoon feeding him…not great when you make him make decisions. He should just be screening and rolling on offense and nothing else
We should stop using Nurk like that too. We have 3 supposed elite players and we're putting the ball in his hands way too much to make a decision

Well that’s the only thing Nurk can really kinda do…he can’t shoot or finish so if he’s not playmaking in dho/short roll, he’s basically useless…but I’d be fine completely replacing him too

Our Non ISO Big three struggled virtually all year which includes Eubanks and that wonderful group of minimum players that we signed last off season. They needed a point guard to help them get their shots. Our Big three just said give me the ball and get the fuck out of the way. That is when they didn't make a pass for a turnover that led to a fast break going the other way.
This is why we should probably draft Kolek.
I heard today that Eubanks might actually return on a minimum contract if he cannot find a deal elsewhere. I was happy when we signed him but I hope that we now can replace him with a better player, that is not a given.

The West is very winable next year. There are no uunbeatable teams. Dallas, Denver, Oklahoma City, Minnesota and the LA Clippers are all good teams, but they all have their warts too.
For the Suns it's going to take a near-perfect offseason to get to the point of being a contender again. Hitting on their draft pick and making a couple of minimum contract signings that fill holes and play well are a good start. Then there's always having good luck and staying healthy.
The most important thing to this team is to have the talent fit together better. And if Booker, Durant and Beal are all coming back they need to build around them with complimentary players who can contribute consistently. With very little trade capital and no cap room.

I wouldn't mind Eubanks as a 3rd center, but I don't want to have to rely on him make plays, especially on offense.

The offense was probably a symptom of Vogel's coaching and strategy. Obviously a lot will depend on Bud's offensive system. In Milwaukee, Holiday was the point guard but Middleton did a lot of facilitating and you obviously had Giannis driving and getting down hill. In Atlanta he turned Jeff Teague in a viable point guard but also had Schroeder, Horford and Millsap getting 3+ assists, so the offense was spread around. I do think we need a legit point guard/ballhandler, but we're not going to start one so it'll be on Bud to get the Big 3 passing, cutting, and setting up for shots for each other.
If Nurk could hit 3s, it'd be a big boost to the floor spacing. His form isn't awful but the shots just don't fall. Can he least become a threat? We'll still need him on the perimeter facilitating some to create space for our Big 3.

Nurk can't even make FTs anymore. I don't expect him to start hitting 3s at a decent clip.

For vet min FAs, what does everyone thing about Boban? Career PER of 25.3, career NetRtg of +16 and a positive NetRtg in every season but one despite playing on some not-so-great teams. I know stats aren’t everything, but still. Why can’t this guy get PT? It’s not like bad things tend to happen when he’s on the floor.

We already have a crowd favorite.

Although, I am sure I would enjoy the resultant Boban and Bol Bol TV show.

Agreed. This is one cool thing that happened when he was literally still touching the floor. (Made Plumlee look like a midget)

He's just not mobile enough defensively. He can get it done on offense, but you can't hide him on the other end in today's game.
Great third center to have - some skills and well-liked, seems content to fill a role.

I would love to have Boban on the team. He probably would become a fan favorite in the first week.

With respect - we need playable rotation guys, not novelty/fan favorites. We're slow, small 1-4 and unathletic. Boban doesn't fix any of those issues.

How does a sucky liability end up with a career NetRtg of +16 without playing on great teams?

I could buy that if we were talking about a small sample size, but he has a career NetRtg of +16 over 2882 minutes. Even if includes a lot of garbage time, the fact that his team tends to dominate those garbage minutes says something, doesn’t it?
Keep in mind, we’re talking about FAs who can be added for the minimum. All Stars aren’t an option.
