People keep calling Teletovic a great shooter, but his percentages were down across the board last year. 38% from the field and 32% from 3. That's not good.

Feel like they're pretty heavy on swingmen.
They lacked shooters though. And Deng is expiring and a good trading chip since they stole Winslow (Riley must have had a good laugh when he saw he fell). If Bosh is healthy I think they are #2 A or B in the East, depending on how you rate the Bulls.
The Heat? #2 in the East? I like several teams better. Obviously the Cavs are #1, but then I'd put Atlanta, Chicago, and Milwaukee ahead of Miami.

I think the Heat can be #2 in the east, but I'm not sold on Spoelstra knowing how to best fit all the pieces together seamlessly. A ton of their success is going to hinge on Bosh being healthy though.

Dragic/Chalmers/Napier
Wade/Green/Ennis
Deng/Winslow/Walker
Bosh/McRoberts/Birdman
Whiteside/Haslem

IF Bosh and Deng stay relatively healthy, and they can effectively manage Wade's minutes, I see the Heat as a major player in the East. You list Haslem as a backup center, but I don't how much game he has left; Anderson is in the same boat. Deng could see some time at 4 with Bosh up top. This will be another test of Spoelstra's coaching chops.

Who ordered the Teletovic?

Nailed it. 1 year, 5.5 mil. Aldridge tweeted that as soon as the Nets removed the QO and he was UFA, he reached a deal with us.

I like it.

Our team is suddenly very crowded. And older...

Blade/Price
Knight/Goodwin/Booker
Tucker/Warren/Weems
Markieff/Teletovic/Leuer
Chandler/Len

At the minimum of 13 now. We will see if we pick up some guys off our SL squad.

Still would like to see a banger/hustle guy at the 4 like Acy but probably won't happen now.

Coro said Weems would be the first guard off the bench. If that's true and Price is also in the rotation, then there's little room for Archie or Devin.

Hopefully Price will be deep bench. It's a one-year vet-min contract.

Horny doesn't like rookies or young players... No matter how well they play.

Not sure this is true.

Meh. He didn't shoot well 2/3 of his NBA tenure, and that's exactly the one thing he supposedly can do. Won't complaint since it is a one year deal.

Second crack at replacing Frye after Tolliver. There is one big difference though, as Frye would shoot from the top of the arc but Teletovic connects mainly from the corner.

it allows wade to get spurs-like midseason rest during reg season and green to get even more PT at the starting 2 spot with dragic.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing those two continue to play together. They worked really well off each other and were a great starting guard tandem for us 2 years ago. I have no idea why we went away from that. Green could drop 30 points and Dragic could put up Nash-like numbers when they were both on. Chemistry is so under-rated some times. Miami also seems to be a front-runner for Amare as well... That could be a fun, Suns 2.0 type team to watch, if one can forget its Miami..... who is not nearly as hateable now that the "King" has departed.

I still can't believe they were able to get Winslow. That was huge for them.

Teltovic, weems, price all just seem like place holders for the cap space. None move the needle and i dont think they are suppose to. Kinda intrigued to see what weems brings though...raps fans seemed to like him

I'd be inclined to go harder after Horford than Durant, but he'll be 30 next season. Almost wonder if Atlanta wouldn't trade him now for picks rather than lose him for nothing.

As a pure entertainment value signing, how about going after Josh Smith?
http://www.rantsports.com/nba/2015/07/1 ... osh-smith/

I don't think the Suns are going to win any titles yet, but this would be fun matched with the current front court.
