No kidding. The first one was dumb, but Meeks bullied him on the second one. Could've easily been called a foul at any other time during the game.

I watched the last one like 6 times, I'm sorry that was a horrible effort in boxing out. As a coach, that would be unexceptable for my teams. I think some people grow up thinking boxing out is for chumps.

I don't think I'd go that far. The officiating wasn't terribly one sided, it was just all around terrible. That's been a pretty common theme in this tournament.

Honestly, it wouldn't have made a difference. It looks bad, but the likelihood of getting the rebound and a decent shot off in 5 seconds is slim to none.

Ok, I'll defer to the Ducks fan on this one. The bad calls that I felt were a bit egregious were against the Ducks, IMO.

I can't agree with that, it takes those guys about 3 seconds to go from one end of the court to the rim.

I've got Fultz and ball flipped, but those are my 4. Most boards have Tatum 4, but I'm not his biggest fan

I'd love to hear why you have Fultz lower than Ball. No judgement, just curious? I'm willing to bet it's because he made his team better. It's the intangibles for you, right? The "it" factor as they say. I do like him, but there are a couple of red flags for me. That jumper scares the daylights out of me. Yes, it goes in but when the only way you get your 3-pointer off in college is as a step back jumper (who even needs to do that from 3?) or when you're wide open it is a serious problem. HIs lack of floaters / ability to get shots off in the mid range and his non-existent left-hand are also issues. Defensively I didn't see what everyone else saw either. I kept hearing he was the next Jason Kidd but he has a long way to go. There's a lot to like but there's a lot to worry about. I won't even get into the stuff about his father.

With Fultz, offensively there is nothing the kid can't do right now. My only worry is that he didn't make his team better. Yes, every time I watched Washington I just shook my head when yet another one of his passes were clanked by his teammates. Yet you can see how special he is by how effortlessly he scores the ball out there. He was actually a bit too passive at times for me, which is a problem Ball has as well. If Fultz had Booker's chutzpah he may have led the NCAA in scoring. That's the thing about college though. We don't know what these players are being told to do, what they're sacrificing, or what they will look like when they are turned loose at the next level. Defensively saying he has a long way to go would be polite. A Fultz / Booker backcourt would get killed nightly in the vein of Lillard / McCollum. Ball is definitely better there even though I said I didn't see what everyone else does with him defensively.

I think if you're looking for a player to come in and radically change your team from day one then you probably go Ball and hope those skills translate. If you want a do it all scorer that even NBA defenses are going to have a hard time with year one you go with Fultz. The amount of pressure a Fultz / Booker scoring backcourt will put on teams would be something fun to watch. I am seriously worried they would give up just as many on the other end though. There's probably an argument made for having to keep Len if you draft Fultz too, but it'll need to be made by someone smarter than me. I just know you'll need a rim protector behind that guard combo. Moving Bledsoe would be a must. I have no idea what his value around the league is worth. You can't squeeze blood from a stone and the teams that need Bled most (Orlando, Sacramento) won't be giving up their high picks for him. Maybe you can squeeze the lower of the Sacramento picks but they are in full rebuild mode. He doesn't fit their timeline like he doesn't fit ours.

I do like your thinking. One thing, Jeanne is only 19, so he has some growing and is in the vein of Gobert with his standing reach and length.

Fusek is actually pretty athletic for 7'5", but do not think he has much of a feel for the game, which is a red flag for me.

Pasecniks is my favorite of these. He had been a disappointment over the past years as he was a highly thought of prospect when he was younger. He used to play with Kristaps, but he didn’t develop nearly as fast. It seems this year that the light bulb has come on for him and now he's considered a late bloomer. He is a tall athletic center with a good skill set and good hands. Almost a Tyson Chandler with a jumpshot and can put it on the floor, imo.

Draft and stash Jeanne and Pasecniks is a great idea to me. I'd love to see the Suns somehow get Jordan Bell in the late first round or pick up another early second.

I agree with your assessment of Ball vs Fultz for the most part. I think Ball has a left hand and it's the only direction he can go to get a midrange pull up from. I also agree that if ypu want to see immediate improvement to your team, you go with Ball instead of Fultz. Over the long haul, Fultz might be the better prospect. Both will need shooters and backline shot blockers to help on defense. This is one reason it's also going to be imperative for Jones Jr and Warren improve their 3 pt shooting, along with Bender and Chriss. If the team can grow, mature and improve they strength to become more capable and willing defenders, thry could take huge step up next year.
