I like Moore, but wish we had signed Bazemore instead. I like Galloway more as well.
I’m going to go with Jones’ judgment here. He’s been very solid when it comes to team building.
For all we know, we offered Bazemore the minimum but he just preferred Golden State.
Very possible. I like him too.

No. Our roster is essentially complete at this point. Just need to re-sign Saric

I totally missed Robin Lopez signing with the Wizards. Not sure if it was posted but he's in DC now.

I'd have preferred Boucher to Jones, but certainly not at that price.

Think I saw year 2 isn’t guaranteed for Boucher. Toronto had no bigs though. Just Baynes and Boucher now

We really seem to lack a creator or scoring burst off the bench. I think JJones spoke about the need for creators but not sure Moore counts as one. Looks like we will have to wait to see who we can pick up later. Maybe they run cam off them bench and run a lot of plays for him. Otherwise each night I’d be guessing where the majority of bench offense will come from.

Jones has 193 FG in his career, 128 of them are dunks, which would explain his 67% career FG%

"Hey Ayton - watch what this guy does when he gets the ball near the basket."
I hope he embarrasses Ayton in practice by dunking on him repeatedly. Or at least attempting to.
That's what I'm hoping for too. He looks like the kind of player Ayton has trouble with. If Jones is physical in practice, maybe it helps Ayton toughen up a bit.

I pretty happy with bringing in Moore. He's a legit NBA rotation player who was asked to do too much in NO. He will be very solid as a backup guard, and I think he is immediately the 3 guard in the rotation. Now Payne and Carter have to improve to get their minutes, which I think will ultimately be good for them. I think he's our starting PG when Paul is out, even if the other guards are playing well. He's just steady.

He's not the difference maker I hoped for, but I do like him better than most of the other guys left out there.

In the bubble it was Payne/Saric as creators. Moore isn’t much of a playmaker for others, but he can get his own shot, moreso than Carter. I think Cam will come off the bench and they’ll run a lot of plays to get him shots.

Yea, without getting too excited, he seems a really good fit as a combo guard who can doesn't need the ball in his hands to effective. He's a long 6-3, 6-4 and defends well, can handle the point in a pinch, strong catch and shoot player, has a real good floater when he gets in the lane. You just know what you're getting from him, which is nice to have with Carter and Payne still a bit unproven.

I'm a little nervous Saric hasn't been announced yet however.

Who know if Jones even gets any PT but watching these clips, he's a legit athlete at 6-11 240. This is the kind of burst and quickness off the ground plus aggression you'd hope to see from Ayton. Just effortless getting up to the rim. He knows how to attack the rim and dunk. So yea, maybe in spot minutes CP can do for him what he did for DAJ or Nash for Amare and Steven Hunter. Easy setups for powerful dunks and lobs over the defense. and while the numbers may favor Diallo, he never passed the eye test for me from an athleticism standpoint. Seemed a step slow, never really played above the rim. I thought he showed a nice touch on his jumper, but just never really fit in out there.

I've seen a lot of him and he is basically like if Elie Okobo kept developing.

I am surprised that nobody else remembers him from last season. Sorry to bring up some of these bad clips from the Pre-Bubble Suns but this game when Trae carved us up in the pick n roll all night immediately came to mind when I saw his name because he was a beneficiary and watching that game I was like "even this Jones guy scoring  " lol
he's just gonna be an end of the bench guy in case we need a big body some nights but just looking back at this game against us. screen for Trae (CP3) roll and dunk, at least he seems to have this down if called on

Perfect reference, bajan. Jones can play, at least on that end of the court. If Monty teaches him some defense, he will be a valuable role player in limited minutes

Plus he is the perfect guy for Ayton to guard in practice. Ayton can get timid around guys who are physical and show more aggression, especially if he's not expecting it. I hope Jones takes him to school in practice so that Ayton gets used to these kind of players.

Unless these deals have team options in year 3, we seem to have pivoted away from cap space in 2022.

Now lets fill the roster with young guys with potential to break out and grow into something. Another wing and one more big, please. Can't believe Reed went 58 or something and Tillie went undrafted and we didn't get either.
