Michael Pina at The Ringer hates the Suns day one:
Phoenix spent the first few hours of free agency locking itself into the most top-heavy, least flexible roster in basketball. By definition, this is technically a “team,” but that doesn’t really feel like the right label…

… Damion Lee, Keita Bates-Diop, Drew Eubanks, Chimezie Metu, Josh Okogie, Yuta Watanabe, Jordan Goodwin, Ish Wainright, and Isaiah Todd. Bates-Diop, Eubanks, Metu, and Watanabe were signed immediately, even though there’s a good chance no other teams were willing to take them off the board. It’s still unclear who the fifth starter will be. Cam Payne is the only point guard on the roster. Everyone else is either a specialist who can be exposed in the playoffs or someone who has never been good enough to crack a playoff rotation.

It’s somehow hard to be excited about a team that has Durant, Booker, and Beal on it. But here we are.
FWIW, I think KBD, Eubanks and Yuta all would have had multiple offers on the open market, especially at vet minimum. (Metu probably not so much). I think from an absolute pessimist’s point of view, I could see what he’s saying. But it’s way overblown. Considering the restraints they’re under the Suns did pretty well.
He’s an idiot…what did he expect us to do with only vet min deals to offer? And who cares if we signed them quick if we signed them to the vet min…His logic makes zero sense and I don't think he actually knows much about basketball. He probably would've liked our FA if we got someone like Derrick Rose.
Maybe he’s saying we should have waited to see who dropped to vet min?
Well we still have roster spots so we can still do that

Suns don't have a true playmaking point guard. Is that a concern for anyone ? Or is it not a big deal ?
How many true playmaker PGs even exist anymore? I think we're more than fine, will not be surprised if Book avg 8apg this year.
Yes, they do exist.

I don't think it's the number of the assists that we need to be concerned about. Book/Durant/Beal will load up on assists passing out to 3-point shooters when defenses collapse on them.

What we will likely be missing is orchestration, someone set other players up in scoring position, running pick and roll and feeding guys on the move. But that may not matter because our offense might simply be one of the big 3 just going one on one, or we'll feed Ayton in the post.
…or we’ll what?! Is that a typo or something?

What? That makes the Eubanks signing look like a really savvy bit of business. There's no way Jock is worth 8 mil a year lol.

I'm guessing Westbrook re-signing with the Clippers puts paid to Harden landing there?
