And it has all the great production values that BB had. Great cinematography, writing, sound, music, everything.

It's been a great show so far. I got spoiled with BB because I watched it after the show was over so I was able to binge watch, now that I'm watching a show where they are still making episodes, it sucks having to wait.Indy wrote:I still haven't watched Saul. I really want to, but I just haven't had the chance yet.
I don't think there was ever a better comedy than that. It was amazing. I learned about it from this site while it was at the end of it's run. DesertCoast and UO turned me on to it. I am so thankful for that. The long-running bits (some 3 seasons long) are perfect. Look out for the loose seal...iLLmatic wrote:It's been a great show so far. By the way, thanks for turning me onto Arrested Development. Hilarious.
Well, at that point he is both not the leader and also is questioning the hard ass part of being in a bike gang, so I'd call your complaint "good characterization." As for it being unrealistic, I'm quite certain most bike clubs are not like that, so yes, it's not realistic, but within the narrative they tell, everything is pretty consistent and the story is solid (more often than not). That's realistic enough for me.iLLmatic wrote:I tried watching SoA, I even gave it 8 episodes into the first season...I just didn't like it, too unrealistic to me. And the main character Jacks, he doesn't come off as a hard ass biker gang leader to me.
I've heard several people say that if you are a fan of The Wire, The Shield won't do it for you. Even though they are completely different shows.Ghost wrote:I watched half of the first season of The Shield a while back. I really don't understand what everyone is raving about. This was some time ago, so I can't recall specifics, but the writing seemed pretty average and it mostly felt like they were trying to take NYPD Blue's grittiness and just crank it up to 11. It was on the good side of average, but it wasn't close to good enough to keep me interested, even when I could binge watch it.
I haven't thought about Carnivale in ages. Now I'm pissed again, too. Thanks. I'll have to go watch the llama video again to cheer up. And add that to my "must rewatch" list, even though I know I'll be frustrated when it gets cancelled on me again.Indy wrote:I don't know why but Carnivale just jumped into my head. I'm still pissed HBO didn't renew it.
That's the best news all week!Wally_West wrote:New season of House of Cards today!

Yeah, I've watched it from the beginning. Digging it. Great and interesting progression of story.Phoenix219 wrote:Anyone watching this, now that its actually airing?SDC wrote:whoa, terrence howard is also on Wayward Pines! (aside from EMPIRE)
Yea. I've read the books & I thought they would change some stuff but they have adhered very close to them in all its weird twilight zone-ish glory.Superbone wrote:Yeah, I've watched it from the beginning.
