LOL. No No..just draft the brother. We like the lesser ones first.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”
I like Ben Bentil....I have him as an option at 34, but wouldn't mind him at 28. Think he may of came out a yr early, but when I was watching Dunn alot this yr I really liked what I saw from him. Kinda a tweener but I'd give him a hard look at the end of the first.

I'm interested to follow the career of Big Ben Simmons here in Philly. I don't think the sixers is an ideal place for a guy with some "desire" concerns, but he has the tools to be an All-NBA player.
Hopefully the 76ers do something about that backcourt which has got to be the worst in the NBA talent wise. (I know somewhere where they can get backcourt help!!)

Ivan Bender has messed up knees, another thing that makes him fit to be a Sun.
“Are you crazy?! You think I’m going to go for seven years and try to get there? You enjoy the 2030 draft picks that we have holding? I want to try to see the game today.” — Ish 3/13/25
I already cast my final vote... and now, as these things go, I'm having doubts. Watching the finals made me want to add athleticism to this roster. That's a dangerous road to travel, though. Many an incredible athlete has turned out to be nothing but just an athlete.
I don't know who the correct pick is. But the one who would excite me the most is unquestionably Marquese Chriss. Highlight plays galore! No idea if he has what it takes to correct the myriad and egregious problems with his game.
You do know that is the same guy that thought signing Bledsoe to a long contract after knee issues and a spotty history was a good thing, right? And that adding IT to Goran and Bledsoe was a good thing. And that trading 3 months of Knight for our highest value asset was a good thing. And that resigning him to a long contract was a good thing. I will stop there.

Because speculating about the NBA potential of Bender, Sabonis and Chriss is... worthless, really - what do we know, after all? - how about this question.
Supposing we take a PF at 4, should we also draft another big at 13 if we regard that player as BPA? I'm talking Sabonis, Ellenson, Skal (blech!). I think one could justify adding one of Bender or Chriss plus Ellenson on the theory that Bender and Chriss are 4/3s and Ellenson a 4/5.

Depends on the rest of the roster. I would say not to bring in more than 2 pfs that we think can play this year. So if you bring back Teletovic, you can't take Ellenson (gross) and Sabonis, who are both fairly ready. But you could possibly bring in Skal if you think he is a year or two away from floor time. If you don't bring back Teletovic, then draft as many pfs as you want.

"It's just a matter of how you view his first year," one sympathetic talent evaluator said. "It was not what you expected. But what do you think he could do in a different environment? It's just going to be hard to pass on his length. He can hit the mid-range pick and pop. He's got to evolve into more of a shot blocker, more of a rebounder."
Labissiere puts at least one longtime scout in mind of P.J. Brown, who took a very similar build (6-foot-11, 225) and got 15 NBA seasons out of it as a hard-nosed defender and rebounder. "When P.J. came out of Louisiana Tech, everybody thought he was soft," the scout said. "And then he grew up and matured, and all of a sudden he became kind of a physical player, who could also make that little midrange shot. And that's what this guy can do right now."
Nice breakdown here. I'm a big fan of Valentine and might take him at 13 if we still have the pick and his knees check out. He's a basketball player and can handle and distribute. He and Booker together would be real fun to watch.
I like Valentine, but fear he's going to be the classic "great in college, can't play in the pros" guy. 28 is as high as I draft him, maybe even 34.
"There are 3 rules I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep, never play cards with a guy with the same first name as a city & never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Everything else is cream cheese."
What does everyone think of Caris Lavert? 6'7 with length. Good spot up shooter, good passer. 45% from 3, 4.9 Ast to 1.6 turnovers. He'll struggle on d if he can't bulk up as he's very skinny, but he's athletic and has the tools to be a good defender. Injury issues are real as he can't seem to stay healthy, but on a talent level, he's definitely worth a look at 34 IMO.
