I don't see him having an option year. I just see him listed as unrestricted free agent. I would only sign him for the vet minimum.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 5:47 pmCORY JOSEPH - Not interested at a salary more than his $5.1M player option. You're right. I misread spotrac. Yeah, the minimum wouldn't bother me either.INFORMER wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 9:20 pmI don't see him having an option year. I don't see how that could be the case. We're giving minutes to Ish Wainright. I don't think there are a lot of better options than KBD for the minimum.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 5:47 pmKEITA BATES-DIOP - Worth a look at the minimum. I worry that he's never contributed to a winning situation, so could be a waste of that salary spot.

So if the rumors work to...
Washington ' Beal, Kuzma
Suns Paul, Shamet
...somebody said a prayer that was answered...that would be VERY interesting. I´d like to have VanVleet, but that would be an interesting lineup.

With the Beal trade done, I could be on board with Nurkic, Little and pick #23 for Ayton.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 4:40 pmWhat about Jerami Grant, Thybulle, Reddish and #3 for Ayton. Does Portland do that?

I don't believe Nurkic would work for Vogel, maybe I'm wrong, but he's a tortoise, playing a drop or not, he's gonna get cooked.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 4:51 pmWith the Beal trade done, I could be on board with Nurkic, Little and pick #23 for Ayton.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 4:40 pmWhat about Jerami Grant, Thybulle, Reddish and #3 for Ayton. I don't really see how Ayton is long for the Suns now that he'll be even less of an offensive threat. I hope they have a strategy to bring in someone more focused on defense and rebounding at his position in addition to a salary that enables a deeper rotation.

The way Bobby marks made it sound, if we don’t trade him this year, it’s going be very tricky to trade him in the future. So much so, that we would probably be locked in with Book, KD, Beal and Ayton for the next 4 years. I very much want to get off his salary. I said Ayton for Gordon Hayward and couple of their seconds would be good enough for me. Maybe there are better deals out there but that deal lets us get off 32 million next year. Worth it for me.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:42 amI don't really see how Ayton is long for the Suns now that he'll be even less of an offensive threat. Bobby Marks gets a lot of stuff wrong or at least oversells the infeasibility of certain transactions. He was terrible last summer during the KD stuff.Wally_West wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:31 amThe way Bobby marks made it sound, if we don’t trade him this year, it’s going be very tricky to trade him in the future. While I think it's increasingly likely Ayton is traded, I'm not so sure it'll happen quickly. Ishbia wants to win above all else, and trading Ayton just to do it or for cap reasons won't be an option to him. I think they have a set price in their mind and will make the deal if someone meets it.
If he's still on the team to start the season, it'll be interesting to see his body language without Monty and Paul around.

And the rumors about trading him into cap space to open up exceptions have a zero percent chance of happening. If Ishbia was determined to hold on to Paul’s salary slot, he’s not going to throw away Ayton’s salary slot.

Re: How Would You Rebuild the Suns?
Although the way Ishbia rolls, I would expect the Suns to get Zion Williamson.

Him sitting on the bench in street clothes? Yes, very easy to imagine.

Lol yeah hard pass on Zion but InF is totally right
Re: How Would You Rebuild the Suns?
I mean I’d take Zion over Ayton, but I’d rather have option c(depth)
