Interesting..taking Rondo's spot?
Silly but not surprising signing for them. Half the roster is already under 6'4", so why not keep it that way?
Payton is a Louisiana kid, so it makes sense for him at least.

Pretty fair deal for AG
Agreed. I would have been fine adding him on that deal.

I'd like it if the Suns nabbed D.J. Wilson from Milwaukee.

Do you really want a roster full of end of the bench players? What’s the goal here, to suck as much as possible again? Seriously asking.

21 mill per year for 4 years? Honestly I would have been fine with the money but not the years. Would have essentially taken us out of any significant FA signing the next 4 years with Bookers extension

INF has a different way of filling out a roster than you or I. He likes to fill it with guys we've never heard of and particular rookies and draft picks along with the occasional 20+ million player that has yet to have done or win anything of significance.

Sometimes is baffling. The criticism of signings is fine, but when 90% of the desired additions are G league level players, have to wonder what the actual goal is here, because it’s not to win now or later. Must be to get another lottery pick.

The bottom line is that next year the FA class is much, much better and deeper. I was incredibly worried with McDs comments that he would spend for the sake of spending this year and end up paying the max on a player that didn’t deserve it just to come home with a trophy.
He didn’t do that. They didn’t extend a max contract to a Gordon, Parker, or any other mediocre player.
Is Ariza worth 15 mill? Probably not. But he’s a solid veteran player at a one year deal, can help contribute for the year while grooming Bridges and Jackson. Then it maintains our flexibility next year when the sheer number of quality players is impressive.
Even if we don’t sign a PG, I would consider this offseason as a job well done by McD just by staying patient and not jumping the gun.
His social skills still suck. He really fucked up the Booker-Ulis situation.
I do still think a trade involving Chriss is coming. I really hope it is.

A voice of reason, except for the Booker thing.

Tyreke Evans is going to end up getting a contract that will make us regret not pursuing him.

How do we know we didn't pursue Tyreke? I think he can do better than taking a 1 year flier to share minutes with all our guys.

It would have had to be a sign & trade anyway, so as long as the Suns weren't sending out Chandler or Dudley, the 2019 cap space would have been fine.
