Thought exercise? If Trump had chosen RFK as his VP, would it have been a better pick? IMO RFK doesn't broaden Trump's coalition the way he needs, but I think most anybody would be better than Vance has been.

I think what he means by government conspiracy is the Dems and Cons not wanting to help him run an election against them making it a conspiracy. The Suns don’t want to help the Lakers win a Championship. It’s a conspiracy.
You’re making his case for him. Why should our election officials and courts be partisan? Why should the Dems and Reps have that power to keep independent candidates off the ballot due to phony issues (for example, his residence was required to be NY [where he pays taxes] according to one state’s rules, so he had to put NY for every state—he couldn’t list multiple states as his state of residence!)?

RFK is doing a press conference today where he officially ends his campaign and endorses Donald Trump.
Disgusting move by him.

So what does that really say about RFK if he’s so willing and able to “bend the knee”? Just says he was never independent and just willing to do whatever he can to best suit his interest.
I agree with Jeremy. The system is only setup to benefit the 2 parties and kick everyone else out…. Clever on their part but crappy for the American people.

One observation I think Harris has going for her over Trump that is huge…. The amount of republicans that have come out in support of her over Trump. To me, that’s a great sign of respect and shows far more people are going to be willing to work with her over Trump; who no one wants to work with. To me…. This is the nail on the coffin for him.

I won't believe he's dead until the final ballot is cast, his wack job base is too frothy for me to believe it's over.

Well, yes, that and the fact that over half of Trump's cabinet have refused to endorse him, many of whom have actively criticized him and said he is unfit for the Presidency. And the fact that no other living Republican President OR Vice President OR candidate for any of those offices has endorsed him or would appear at his convention. Did you notice that? No GW Bush, no Dick Cheney, nobody from the McCain family, no Romney, no Mike Pence. Also past Speakers didn't appear; no Paul Ryan, no McCarthy, no Mitch McConnell (I think?). These folks all dislike him. It is really telling that the entire pre-Trump party leadership has disowned him and won't support or endorse him for 2024.

Curious to see what kind of post-convention bounce Kamala gets.

I just want him to loose by so much that there’s no way anyone can question it…. However, you know they will.

His poll numbers were crappy. He ran as a Dem and had to pull out because he was losing badly and had absolutely no chance of threatening anyone. He then ran as an independent and didn’t threaten anyone. The last few months he was polling around single digits. Even if they went by the official election commission rules and regulations RFK would not have made the cut.

Another poll, this one (mostly) post-DNC. It has Kamala +5. I still want to wait for a week or so and watch the polls settle.

None of that has anything to do with anything in my post.

Because he has sold himself out to the highest bidder. (Kamala made no bid.)

Y’all are gonna love this one:
“RFK Jr. once cut off whale’s head with chainsaw, his daughter claimed in resurfaced interview”
https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/ ... c092c7eae0
The latest story, originally shared by Kennedy’s daughter Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy in a recently resurfaced 2012 interview with Town & Country Magazine, details how Kennedy once used a chainsaw to cut off the head of a dead whale carcass that had washed up on the shores of their family’s home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. He then drove the whale’s head back to their home in New York on the roof of the family’s minivan, according to the interview.
“Every time we accelerated on the highway, whale juice would pour into the windows of the car, and it was the rankest thing on the planet,” Kick Kennedy told the magazine. “We all had plastic bags over our heads with mouth holes cut out, and people on the highway were giving us the finger, but that was just normal day-to-day stuff for us.”
That story reminds me of the story about Mitt Romney strapping the family dog to the roof of their car…remember that?
