Heh. You are one of the very few I know that has every gaming system hooked up and ready to go!Indy wrote:Damn you. I am going to have to play that tonight now...Superbone wrote:I'm liking Intellivision already!

I actually have it hooked up to a nice tv, but that doesn't work well. Newer TVs don't accept the RF signal from old-school gaming systems, even when you try and fine-tune it. There is a hack you can do to your Intellivsion (or Intellivision II like I have) to tap into the AV signals inside the console, but I just haven't had the time yet.
And I am still bummed I don't have the old-school Sega stuff, or even Turbo Graphics...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
In the front of my shop, I have USB converters to plug in actual original game controllers, plus a "tank stick" Arcade mock up with legit arcade joysticks/track ball, and i have the entire library for every classic system. I have SNES controllers, PS1 dualshock controllers, and n64 controllers all plugged in directly. Its so much smoother playing Atari/Coleco/INTV with actual controllers, but the numpads are annoying, since you still have to use the keyboard. The archive is complete from the 70s to PS1/N64... i just recently got every PS1 CD ever made unzipped and installed.
Has anyone ever played a Vectrex?

I used to play a great game on the Intellivision called Vectron. But I think a guy I used to work with had a Vectrex and I got to try it a couple times.Phoenix219 wrote:Has anyone ever played a Vectrex?

Got almost every system since the 8-bit era (and a lot of original games), but not a fan of older stuff. Still got an Atari 2600 and the french version of the Magnavox Odyssey 2 (my very first game system, still working).
What's your favorite system?

Very interesting. I like Hamilton and wanted him here when we made the Dragic trade, but he's going to struggle to get time with our frontcourt.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
I still have a soft spot for the SNES. Some of the best games ever made were for that thing. I also enjoyed the Neo Geo but I could never afford one myself when I was a teen.rhylek wrote:Got almost every system since the 8-bit era (and a lot of original games), but not a fan of older stuff. I'm a NES/SNES guy. I roll my eyes when the kids talk about N64 as a "classic" console. Get off my lawn!
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
After Intellivision, I believe my next console was the Genesis. Great games there as well.Mori Chu wrote:I'm a NES/SNES guy. I roll my eyes when the kids talk about N64 as a "classic" console. Get off my lawn!

I always envied the kids that had the Genesis, I felt like they always made better sports games.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
I'm a Genesis guy too, more diversity, more arcade, more mature games but I have to admit the SNES had great games (Zelda 3 is my all-time favorite).
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
My kids have been playing A Link Between Worlds on their DS. It's basically just an update of A Link to the Past. Virtually the same world & dungeons.rhylek wrote:I'm a Genesis guy too, more diversity, more arcade, more mature games but I have to admit the SNES had great games (Zelda 3 is my all-time favorite).

I just played A Link to the Past last year after I put an emulator on my iPad and paired my blue tooth PS3 controller with it (I was traveling a lot!). Then I played A Link Between Worlds last month on another trip and it was wonderful.carey wrote:My kids have been playing A Link Between Worlds on their DS. i hope you all realize that you're basically the guy obsessing about his 1945 Chevy pick up with it's original suspension and no power steering.
The only difference is that you don't have to worry about going 40 in the slow lane or people screaming at you because it takes 15 minutes to parallel park.
