I don't think Thad Young fits what we need. He's another 3/4 tweener that doesn't stretch the floor.
That's fair..I looked at him as a replacement for warren but he's more suited to the 4. I'm not really sure we're going to get the perfect fit at the 4, so we gotta take what we can get and thad could have the added benefit of not costing anything beyond this year.

With Fultz supposedly coming back into form, I wonder what it would take to get TJ McConnell from the Sixers? That's a quality vet, a pass-first gaurd that would help fill a big need for us, assuming that we're not just going to roll with Okobo right out of the gate. I feel like it really shouldn't take too much.... If they had thrown in TJ with Bridges, I think that would have made the trade more fair in my mind.
Let's go get TJ McConnell, then sign Aaron Gordon, then sign Ristic as an undrafted FA ... Maybe then we can sign steroid Mike Bibby for guard help off the bench ... #GoCatsGo!!!

Put Bender on that Bibby regiment.

That did nothing for me. I know exactly what Williams is, and I've got no interest in him with Ayton/Chandler/Chriss/Bender in the fold.

Chriss is absolutely not a center. Bender arguably could play spot minutes there, but I don't think he's a great solution at the C position. Chandler is going to sit half of the games this season. We are going to need another center who can fill in the gaps. You can argue about whether that should be Williams or not, but to paint it as though there just won't be any minutes at C is fallacious IMO.

Why are you assuming Chandler will just sit out games? Makes no sense, we only shut him down the last 2 seasons in an effort to be as awful as possible. I don't think that is happening again. Bender/Chriss can totally fill 3rd C minutes. Ayton barring foul trouble will be out there 30+ that leaves Chandler/Chriss/Bender to fight over the left over 18, we'll be fine there.

I think you are fooling yourself if you think we sat Chandler to try and lose games. That guy has been a complete turnstile on defense and isn't even hitting his point blank alley oops as often as he did when he first got here. We were better with him sitting.

Not news, but an interesting article from BSOS discussing Booker-centric lineups with the new draft picks.

Isn't it a lot of pressure for a 22-year-old kid to carry his team mentally and physically to the playoffs? I guess we are rushing things a little bit here. Just look at the injuries which Booker had the last year.
And at the very moment what we have more from last year are only two rookies. High expectations my let us down again. My only expectation for the next year is a watchable young team who has fun being on the court. And maybe I'm waiting for some dunks from Ayton over Joel.

How old is Tatum? Or Simmons? Or Embiid? Or Mitchell?

Over 80, combined. That's a lot of experience!

All these players would not make our beloved Suns a playoff contender by themselves.

I would love Simmons... Simmons/Booker/Bridges/Jackson/Ayton is a pretty fantastic lineup that would almost always have more talent than the opposing team. Maybe their inexperience eventually trips them up, but that's a playoff team

Not any of them by themselves, but a team of Tatum, Simmons, Embiid and Mitchell might be able to sneak in.

Democritus is talking about the pressure that some are placing on Booker to lead rookies and unproven players to the playoffs.
It's not fair to compare Booker to those other stars who all have veteran teams with other top tier talent. None of those guys was the focal point of the team coming into the season, much less the most experienced player. As it stands, the only guys in the projected rotation with more NBA experience than Booker are Chandler, Knight, and Warren.
As much as we like the young guys, Booker is the one proven nba player on our roster.

I know, I just got carried away thinking about putting Booker with Simmons...maybe that's how most people saw the potential Doncic/Booker pairing.
