Zion can't play off the ball, isn't a great defender, rebounder or shotblocker. He's a 6-7 280lb off the dribble guy who barrels down the lane like Giannis. But maybe that can work with Beal, Book and KD.

If he could stay healthy, you make that trade in a millisecond. But if he could stay healthy, the Pels would never do the trade.

Zion and Herb? I'd be on that faster than Zion on an Instagram skank.

Would you take Zion for Ayton if the Pels also threw in Herb Jones? I really don't want Zion but I'd at least consider that. The dream would be that Jonas V + Herb trade; that'd be an absolute heist if we could get those guys for Ayton.
Um, I don't think the Pelicans would prefer to move Zion over Jonas Valanciunas.

Zion has about 2x the value that Ayton does. I get he's injury prone but yea the Pels aren't doing that 1 for 1 let alone adding a piece.

One player who would be pretty perfect as the 4th starter is Anunoby. Toronto has also supposedly had interest in DA. I wonder if there’s anything there.

I don't think there are enough shots here for Anunoby.

Ya Anunoby would be great if he was willing to just be a do everything defensive player who just takes catch and shoot 3s. Doubt he would though.

Toronto's interest in Ayton probably died after trading for Poeltl. Both are in the same tier of player at their position and Poeltl will almost certainly sign his next contract for less than what Ayton is making now.

So here's a question...if Booker, KD, and Beal were willing...not arguing if they should or shouldn't be, but if they were...could you renegotiate their contracts to give the team a better cap position? Example, extend a year to divide the annual down...with player agreement?

Easier to be like “bro, sign for the minimum and I’ll pay your rent for you ;)
