I think we would have won a title if Colangelo had stayed our owner for 5-10 years longer.

I agree that sometimes Jerry is over-idolized, and he wasn't perfect. But we don't have to conjecture and dream up scenarios to think of a way that Jerry could have gotten us a title. In the mid-2000s he very clearly would have signed Joe Johnson rather than letting him walk. And he would not have sold off the draft picks that we gave away that turned into crucial rotation players like Rajon Rondo and Luol Deng. Even without the preceding guys, the Suns came within a hair's breadth of a title in the mid/late 2000s. So I think it's very reasonable to presume that the Suns, with these additional players and picks, would have been likely to get at least one title. It's sad that Jerry got out right before he probably would have had his best ever chance to win one.

I don't know why you think he just automatically would have signed anyone, he wasn't worth a ton, still isn't.

I also think he would have found a way to trade Amare for KG. He always moved players after a few years.

Colangelo got a title with the Diamondbacks instead of the Suns. I think he would have found away with the Suns if he had stayed around.

The Raps-Clips trade with Kawhi is now on hold.

It always seemed weird to me that the Raps were willing and able to trade for Kawhi even though the Aspiration investigation was not yet complete. I wonder if the eventual punishment will be severe. Like, he could be suspended for a large part of the coming season.

Raptors probably still want him unless he’s completely banned from the game. They may ask to send fewer picks tho. It’s not like playing 50 fewer games a year hurts Kawhi’s value.
