Do the Lakers have any one who can actually shoot? KCP I guess? Doesn't seem like a great strategy. Why in the world would you not surround Lebron with a bunch of guys who can hit threes?

I can kind of understand the Stephenson signing because he's a good triangle guard, can knock down a 3, and guard 4 positions. His defense will help against the Ws and Rockets. Rondo, if they're playing triangle, doesn't make any sense. He's the anti-triangle guard IMO. Incredibly smart but doesn't have the skillset.

Randle now an Unrestricted FA
And not a lot of money left out there. Sign and trade not an option. He might go for a bargain. Wish we still had cap space.

Atlanta, Chicago and Sacramento have space. Indy has space too but rumors are they're signing Tyreke to a 1 year 12mil deal.

I was too busy laughing at Lance playing with Bron last night but with them also signing back KCP I was here remembering that Luke was high on Hart. In the 2nd half of the season he played well so that makes Lance addition interesting.
Anyways if they seem to be screwing things up , that's better for us

All of their frontcourts are settled. Atlanta might be interested if they feel Julius Randle and John Collins can coexist.

What are the Lakers doing???
I always thought LeBron would want Rondo. He probably doesn’t want Ball. I still hope the Suns will try to trade for Ball.
Do we need to start discussing if we should go after Ball for the Suns? Sounds like the Lakers are moving away from him. Would it be worth having to deal with Lavar?
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I didn't realize Nerlens Noel signed for the minimum. Excellent value for OKC.

Dang I would’ve been way more excited about signing Tyreke for 1 year/15 million than Ariza!

Suns will have about 40 million in cap space next season. That's what we're gearing up for. This FA class is a bit crap.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Is Ariza worth 15 mill? Probably not. But he’s a solid veteran player at a one year deal, can help contribute for the year while grooming Bridges and Jackson.
I'm not worried about overpaying Ariza; it is one year deal. I just don't see hardly any utility in acquiring him. He doesn't have a lot of value as a full-time small ball 4. And Bridges and Jackson need to play substantial minutes. Period. They don't need to sit on the bench and watch Ariza lead by example.

Using all of our cap space to add another small forward who doesn't rebound or help facilitate is a move that doesn't have a lot of value.

For me, Evans wouldn't have been exciting, but I think he would offer more than Ariza. But apparently we have to assume that Evans has no interest in the Suns.

Randle would have been a terrible fit next to Ayton. I do wish we went after Evans instead of Ariza if he ends up getting the same contract.

Randle on New Orleans is interesting. He's a really good fit with AD... curious what cousins does

With Booker signing an extension, it will be less than 40 million.

Nah. They're looking at about 20-25 million in cap space. They would have to make some moves to get to 40. This October they would have to decline Bender's and Chriss's option years. They would have to stretch waive Knight.

We’ll just agree to disagree on that philosophy. I did not enjoy watching the young guys struggle for 48 mpg without worry last season. I like having a steady hand that forces them to earn their minutes.
