If it is Ayton/Mikal that counts as 30.6 + 20.1 = 50.7 where KD is at 44.1. That only forces them to take on an additional 6.6M.

Does Royce ONeale throw it off though?

If you don't want to keep him, I suppose. But even apart from wanting to keep Ayton, I don't want to make the team worse by giving up Bridges also. So I would say, giving DA the extension would have prevented Jones from making a reckless move for KD.

You need to take chances, and sometimes they are reckless. If it works out, you do something your team has never done in over 50 years. If it doesn't work out, you at least took your shot.

Jeremy, Iβm here for you today. No Ayton shit talking from me. It sucks losing your fav player or at least one you ride hard for.

Iβm still blown away you think trading Ayton and Mikal for KD makes us worse. Weβd be trading the 45th and 50th best players(just spitballing) for a top 3 player.

I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with taking a shot that has probably a 5% chance of success.

You think KD, Paul and Booker have a 5% chance at winning a championship together? Or a 5% chance we can get KD?

Ya itβs way over 5%. Even still, Taking 1 5% shot is better than taking 5 1% shots

I wouldn't have a problem with it basketball-wise (still would want to keep DA of course) if Durant was under 30 years old. But especially if we include Johnson also, then yes I believe we are worse this season than last season.

The former. Mainly due to age/health.

If the odds were flat, each team has a 3.33% chance. We know the odds are not flat, so a few teams have way higher and a few way less, with the average in the middle. There is a reason the betting sites shifted drastically when they heard KD preferred Phoenix. It isn't like we are at 20% or anything, but it is way higher with 3 all-nba players.

As long as CP3 is on the roster, you'll be rolling those dice. If we're going to keep CP3, I'd rather roll with KD and Booker for our big 3 instead of riding and hoping CP3 can stay healthy enough come playoffs to carry a similar roster to last season to a championship. I think those odds are worse than rolling with KD.

If weβre getting Kd we have got to be aggressive recruiting talent to come off the bench. We canβt be Brooklyn West.

What did the betting sites say about the Nets a couple years ago?
