We could get a trade exception, but I don’t know how much he’s signing for, it might only be the minimum.

Sign and trades have to be at least 3 years as well so no sign and trade.

We should have done it with Landale. It would have been a nice trade exception to generate. The only way Houston would have done that is if we sent cash (because we have nothing else to send) and maybe that's where Ishbia drew the line.

I thought so too until I saw Jock only had 1 guaranteed year. I believe you have to sign for 3 years with no options. So I don’t think Jock was eligible for a sign and trade either.

It depends on how they write it, if it’s just non-guaranteed or partially guaranteed with no options it could work. You only have to have one year guaranteed. And they still might be working it out. He can’t sign until July 6. But yeah it has to be 3 or more years, so it wouldn’t work with Craig.

That’s interesting…seems like non-guaranteed years should count the same as options.

1. Watford
2. Thybulle(he’s restricted though)
3. Dosunmu(also restricted)
4. Oubre(not happening)
5. Bamba(would make it easier to trade Ayton)
6. Beasley(don’t need him after Gordon, but sure)
7. Nowell(See Beasley)
8. Wood(No thanks…I’m out on him. Talented, but no team ever wants him back)

I had Thybulle and Nowell on my wish list, but they might be a bit redundant with what we already have at this point, especially if they’re looking for guaranteed playing time.

Christian Wood is not at all a Vogel kind of player. I think it would be a bad deal for both the Suns and for him to try to make it work.

Can the Raps afford Ayo Dosunmu? He’d be great pick up for them in helping to replace FVV. tall, long and good defender with potential. Ayo-OG and Pascal could be a nightmare defensively.

Interesting…or it might be convertable if it’s not guaranteed

Very surprising. Makes sense only if there's a consolidation trade coming or if we're done and just waive Todd.

I think Split is right, it’s probably something that you can convert to a 2-way later.

I don't think this is true. You can convert a 2-way to a regular deal, but the way to flip that would be to waive the player and then resign them to a 2-way (like we may do with Todd). Once waived, any team can claim or sign them, so it doesn't make sense to do it that way.

If it’s not a guaranteed deal I think it can be converted. I heard Ish can still be converted.
But we could also just use the new 2nd round exception on him.
