I thought Triano was going to be the last one interviewed.
He is probably the best choice.

I won't say he's the best choice, but he is certainly not the worst one. I think he'd be ok with a team with actual healthy talent on it, great? Nah, ok? Absolutely.

Triano really is not a good coach. I'm not blaming the record on him but he doesn't even had a good system in place while losing.
If you watched teams like Philly when they sucked, you could tell that Brett Brown has a solid system in place. The Nets are currently losing but you can tell Atkinson has a good system in place there in Brooklyn.
Triano sucks. He has been a HC before with Toronto and he was awful there completely misusing prime Bosh.
He's a nice guy not HC material. Keep him as an assistant.

He interviewed last Thursday.

Yeah, everyone chill. The Suns almost always have never had history of making any bad decisions. For example: They absolutely almost always have an interview process before hiring a head coach. This almost always happens like every time.
Super seriously speaking,
Suns P.R. Department

Bordow is an idiot. He claimed he had some inside information which he was gonna drop about why Budenholzer withdrew and never did.
He's a company man through and through. Never breaks any kind of information either and has no inside information at all. All he's good for is to "confirm" any rumor or news that's put out by Woj/Stein/Gambo etc.

Kidd can't really happen? Right? Right...
I can't believe it is even a possibility.
Although it would be just like the Suns to spit on what is left of their fan base.

I'm sure the guys interviewing want to hear that they're probably not really being considered, but that the Suns are just talking to a lot of different people for input and opinions.

The worrying part is not talking with Kidd. It is prospectively going from Budenholzer's style to Kidd's. They are almost total opposites and it oozes lack of vision/direction. Just bring in Kokoskov already.
Also, VDN? Come on...

He never claimed to have inside info. He said he heard some stories, but wouldn't share them since Bud was going to have a press conference in ATL. But then the news came out that he was going to NY, and ATL walked back their press conference.

WHAT DO WE WANT OUR IDENTITY TO BE? You can't interview VinnyD, Kidd, Clifford, Budz, Fiz, Igor and tell me you, as a GM or owner, have a vision for your team. You're pretty much saying, "here are our players, how would you play", and if you like what they have to say you're going to hire them. It should come from the top down. "Hey, we want a defensive identity where we limit possessions and play halfcourt basketball" OK, here's Steve Clifford. Or, "You know what, we want to run and gun and shoot 3s like the Ws and Rockets and we know we need to add some shooters and a PG" OK, here's Kidd and VinnyD, Igor and maybe Vogel.

I agree and disagree. Direction for the team should come from the top down, but the top is a partnership between the GM and head coach. Not Sarver. McD may know how the team should play, but Bob hires the head coach, and he may be looking for someone who meshes with James Jones.

The last time we had an identity that came from the top down, it was that dual-PG identity that lead first to the disastrous three-headed monster and then the even more disastrous AASE trade.
As long as “the top” is Sarver and McD, I’m OK with letting the vision come from the coach.

So what if its Kidd? What kind of basketball could we expect? Admittedly, I didn't watch a lot of the Bucks because as the Suns go, my interest in the NBA goes.

As much as I hate Kidd, I would rather have Kidd as coach than Vinny del Negro. But I'd rather just keep Triano than have either of those two guys. Would want Vogel most over the names still floating around, or maybe Fizdale or Koko.

Who knows, but if he couldn't make it work in the east with the Freak, it is doubtful he manages to put the worst offense/defense team on the map.
In MIL he didn't put emphasis on shooting or off the ball movement and his rotations were often criticized. Supposedly he had a good defensive system in place with all that length, but stats say it didn't work. Also has been rumored to clash with Jabari and there's word he is power hungry within the organization and tries hard to attract players represented by his agent Jeff Schwartz (Tyson Chandler is one, btw).
Kokoskov looks like a much better candidate. I loathe that Budenholzer is gone.
